  1. If you enjoy the country life, travel a few miles north of CHA-AM. Drive north from the CHA-AM hospital, across the draw bridge, and then you have two options to stay left or turn right towards Pethchaburi. If you stay left, travel all the way to the end of the road and along the road you'll see nice homes for rent. If you turn right, drive about a mile to the first street on the right, and you'll see many condos for rent on the beach. CHA-AM is a nice community. Good luck.

  2. We only have one option, because we're out in the country. It's TOT at 590 baht a month for 6 Mbps. That's the fastest available. TOT is the only available. Currently, our Download is 5.26 Mbps and our Upload is .43 Mbps. Good Luck!

  3. In JULY, we bought a brand new MITSUBISHI Triton Plus four door, automatic, diesel, and the dealer added chrome door handles, tinted windows, twelve month first class insurance, floor mats, and the bed liner. Total cost was 844,000. It runs great and is fun to drive. The best feature is the large in dash DVD screen which allows additional options. Google it and read all about it. Good luck!

  4. Yes, I had to verify one small trial deposit from my Wells Fargo account to my Bangkok bank account. I waited a few days, called the Bangkok Bank telephone number, verified my account, and they gave me the amount Wells Fargo deposited into my Bangkok bank account. I entered the amount in my Wells Fargo online account. It was a very simple process. Good luck!

  5. Wells Fargo is super easy, fast, and you decide the speed:

"2-Business Day Delivery Daily Limit is $15,000 and Monthly Limit is $25,000" and

"Next Business Day Delivery Daily Limit is $2,000 and Monthly Limit is $5,000" and

"Fees may apply when transferring funds to your non-Wells Fargo account".

    Transfer Fee to a non-Wells Fargo Account (2-Business Day Delivery) - $3

Transfer Fee to a non-Wells Fargo Account (Next Business Day Delivery) - $10

I think Wells Fargo and Bangkok Bank split about a twenty baht fee vs. the exchange rate and there's about a three day plus window to see your funds.

So, your Fee is $3 or $10 to transfer money from your Wells Fargo checking or savings account to Bangkok Bank New York City, who transfers your money to Bangkok Bank THAILAND.

It's very easy. I've never experienced a delay or any issues. Just remember the phrase "business days" along with not forgetting about the holidays in the USA and/or THAILAND, and the average of about three additional days for your cash to move from NYC to THAILAND.

I hope this helps. Good luck!

  6. Let's think about where you are and where you're going..... Not where you've been. Think future. Today and tomorrow. Yesterday's finished. Draw a line in the sand and move forward. The great news is in 1.5 years you'll start drawing social security. That's good cash here in THAILAND. Congrats! Now, focus on your move upcountry. The positives. Like many have indicated, You're highly qualified to teach ENGLISH. I googled "tesl cost in THAILAND" and viewed the second from the top website which said, "If you can speak English, let us teach you how to teach English. No degree or ability to speak a foreign language is required". The short course and low cost sure seem like an opportunity. Just a thought. Good luck!

  7. iherb.com has great supplements from the USA. I bought the following "Nature's Bounty" brand:

    Vitamin B-12, 1000 mcg, 100 Tablets $8.22

    Vitamin C & D3, 100 Softgels $8.99

    Vitamin E, 400 IU, 100 Softgels $10.62

    Multi-Day Plus Minerals, 100 Tablets $7.73

    Glucosamine Sulfate, 1000 mg, 120 capsules $17.82

    Odorless Fish Oil Omega-3, 1000 mg, 100 Softgels $11.18

They ship, via DHL, for $4 and the box was delivered in nine days to my front door by the THAILAND Post motorcycle postman. No issues. Best of luck!
