I don't think this is going to help many people since I image most of us stuck overseas have either marriage or retirement one-year visas, not permanent residency or a work permit.

Do they send a slip to print out and put in your passport?
You get a notification of approval that you can print out if necessary.

wow...got approval of 90 day report in about 1 hour after submitting it! Seems as if they have vastly improved their system

I just submitted a 90-day report on line and it seemed to work. The application is "pending"...this is the furthest I have gotten with 90-day on line reporting. Let's hope it get's approved.

I submitted my TM30 last week, my last entry date was March 2019 , not sure if I will avoid a fine on extension later this month but figured I had nothing to lose, plus I wanted to test the system out before I use it for my oseas trip in October.ok, please post an update when you find out...

No, I think it’s the format they use on the computer system, condenses all the information, kinda like on the paper version second page.
Give it a go, should work.
now it is too late, I'm afraid if I submit it after the 24 hour period, I may get fined. I will try that the next time when I return from overseas.

Yes, it’s kinda weird, you fill the top form and then hit the button and it transfers it all down to the table below.ok, i thought that was only if you had multiple people to report on, as you might in a hotel.

Can you send me or post the link to the website ? Thanks
https://www.immigration.go.th/content/online_serivces (although right now I tried it and got an error message, so their system must be down)

Sorry, yes you are right I was confusing it with the registration process.
I filled the form:
and pressed the blue button, the info gets transferred to the table below, then press the floppy disk symbol ( top right) to send/save , no notification is given but checking the search function should bring up this:
If successful.I see, so you filled in the form, then hit the button to fill in the form, then submitted it...I just filled in the form and then submitted it... maybe next time I will try that way and see what happens.

Maybe you are unfamiliar with how the online system works. You log in and do a report, the report is then in the system for any immigration office to see. The same as a hotel reporting, there is no receipt issued.
You can always log back in a see the report anytime.
yeah, that's the problem, when I log in again, it says there is no data to be found. does this mean that my report wasn't filed and accepted?

When I filled my report I wasn’t aware that the documents should be under 1 mb ( each ), got an error message to that effect.
Reduced the docs and tried again, this time got a different error message , a generic error message that didn’t give an exact reason.
I remembered something about some posters having an issue with Chrome so tried on IE and it went through, checked on the search function and there it is.
My report was for an entry into Thailand back in March !!, whether this means I will avoid a fine on extension remains to be seen, will find out later this month ????????what documents did you provide? I didn't see any place or way to attached any documents?

There's supposed to be a menu to the left where you can search for earlier reports. You just enter a date and the report should pop up. Press screen save and print out if you want. On a phone you can take a screenshot.
yeah, i tried that, but nothing...

did you enter both a check in and check out date ?
I entered all the information requested and the system didn't give me any warning, but it still says no data can be found, even now a week later. I suspect I did something wrong, and the system didn't accept the form, even though it didn't give any message as such.

1,000s of people submit TM30 forms every day, go to any immigration office in the country and you will see people putting in TM30 reports/forms
I mean using the on-line system.

for the OP, Did you get confirmation that your TM 30 form was received and recorded by IM? I send one in online (using my computer not the mobile app), and got a message to confirm I wanted to "record the data", which I clicked OK. But I have been checking the "FNSEARCHHOTELFORM30 : ค้นหาข้อมูลแจ้งรับคนต่างด้าวเข้าพัก(Search TM.30)" for a record of my submission and it keeps saying "ไม่พบข้อมูลที่ต้องการค้นหา" (no record found). So I'm wondering if they are still processing it or whether I didn't submit it properly? Anyone have any other experience?

I am wondering if anyone has been successful in submitting an actual TM 30 Form

A TM 30 need to be submitted out each time you arrive at wherever you are staying in BKK, and if you wife is not Thai, one needs to be submitted for her also. Did you register for on-line submission of the form?

Sounds like you done good. No need to attach copies of anythings once registered.
Do a Search, find your record, maybe do a screen grab and print.
Oh...how does one "do a search"?

I just returned from abroad and attempted to submit my TM 30 on line (I have a user name and password). I was a bit confused with some of the form, but after filling out all the blanks (after a few tries), I hit the "บันทึก (Record)" button at the upper top right. A pop up message said to make sure everything was correct and that was that. I didn't attach any files such as a copy of my passport or entry stamp. So I'm not sure if the form was successfully submitted or not. Has anyone else done such a submission? If so, what was your experience?

check your junk email box

Check your junk email box, that is where the email with my user name and password went
-
Well, will wonders never cease, after hearing all the stories of waiting for months for a user name and password, mine came today, just one day after I submitted my request (again to my junk email box, so those waiting might want to check there). I then dutifully logged onto the system and changed my password (only 5 characters allowed).
So, I will wait until I return the next time to try reporting, although I notice one potential issue. The form that comes up is labeled "(extranet.immigration.go.th)FNHOTELFORM30 : บันทึกแจ้งรับคนต่างด้าวเข้าพัก(Notification TM.30)" and there is a space for "check out date", so I'm not sure what to fill in there, if i have no plans to leave.
There is also a notices that reads "ปัจจุบันได้มีการปรับปรุงระบบแจ้งที่พัก กรุณาตรวจสอบแบบฟอร์มการนำเข้ารูปแบบ excel ว่าเป็น แบบแจ้งที่พัก ตม.30 version3 หรือไม่ เพื่อความถูกต้องในการใช้งานระบบอย่างสมบรูณ์ [At present, the accommodation notification system has been updated. Please check the import form of the excel format as a form of accommodation notification, Tor. 30 version3 or not for the correctness of the system]" and a place to import an excel file, but not sure what that file would be?
And then there is a form at the bottom that has columns for information that is similar to that in the top part, but no way to enter into that form, so not sure what that is for.
Anyway, I've made progress, but If anyone has made a real submission, maybe they can answer the questions.

I just tried to schedule an appointment for later in October, but the only times given are 3 and 4 am and 9 pm and later. Does this mean there are no appointment times available, as I'm sure they aren't working that early or late.
