  1. There are two batteries, one Lead Acid and one NMC. I run the complete company with all the machines on the system and may air-cons too. I installed everything by myself, as it is an off-grid system. You can start with a small off-grid system with an inverter that is Parallel compatible so you can extend the system if you need more capacity.
  2. In 2017 I installed my off-grid system and upgraded it every year a little. 3 years ago, I went off-grid 24/7. I recently calculated the investment, and it will take around 8 Years to get the money back in my case. However, I would like to remind you that a solar system's lifetime is 25-30 years. The money invested will be nearly tripled over the lifetime. No bank account offers this! In addition, for the last 2 years, I have charged my EV Car on the system, which makes additional savings until today, around 240000THB. (The calculation does not consider the recent increase in energy prices, maybe I have already returned my investment) And by the way, I had no problem with PEA as it is an off-grid system. The only thing I had to do was one 3-watt light bulb running on the PEA meter to avoid the guy reading the meter reading the same or less than the month before. ????
  3. We started in 2017 to install my first 12 Solar panes and we added every Year 12 more until we reached the point that we could go off-grid. Even we invest a lot of money in this we can say it was worth it. In 2019 we bought the first electric car and after installing some more solar panels, we charge it from the sun to 95%. Compared to the gasoline car cost, we saved the last 70000 km around 210000 Thb. We are now upgrading the solar system again and are on the way to buying the second electric car. I think that what we did over the last years it is not only environmentally friendly, it will save us, in the long run, millions of THB. For the investment in the solar system over the 30 years minimum lifetime, we will get the investment back 1-2 times. In case the EV can last 400000Km then it would be free too. (if calculated on the gasoline we saved). However, we totally agree that charging the EV with grid power that is made from gas and oil is not that environmentally friendly but under consideration of the efficiency of the combustion engine, the EV is the same burden to the environment.
