  1. AOT president ready to arrange special zone for PAD rallies at airports

Airports of Thailand Acting President Serirat Prasutanond Tuesday asked The People's Alliance for Democracy to leave Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang airports, after the Constitution Court dissolved three coalition parties.

Serirat said that now that Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat was disqualified by the ruling, PAD has its wish satisfied. They should leave the airports which are the major airports to handle passengers and air cargo, to reduce further damage.

He added that if the PAD wants to remain at the airports, AOT is ready to arrange a special area so that the protest would not affect the operations.

It was reported that some PAD leaders agree with AOT's proposal but it is upto the decision of all leaders who will meet this evening.

  2. Four plainclothes police escorted each of nine Constitution Court judges out of the Supreme Administrative Court after they delivered rulings in three party-dissolution cases.

The first three judges left the court while some angry protesters remained outside the court. Soldiers guarded them while they were leaving the court head office.

The six others left after all protesters had dispersed.

  3. People's Alliance for Democracy leader Somsak Kosaisuk on Tuesday vowed to continue rallying at Don Mueang and Suvarnabhumi airports and demanded the departure of the entire Cabinet.

Following the verdict on party disbandment, Somsak said the PAD would not allow the Cabinet to work in the caretaker capacity until the formation of the next government.

He said every minister must depart along with Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat.

Of 36 Cabinet members, 22 are not affected by the party disbandment and can carry on in the caretaker administration.

  4. Pro-government red-shirted people ended the besieging of the Supreme Administrative Court Tuesday afternoon after cutting off power supply to the court complex.

Leaders of the Democratic Alliance Against Dictatorship asked the protesters to disperse and regroup at the Civic Plaza of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration in the evening.

They dispersed after the Supreme Administrative Court issued an order for them to stop the blockade of the court head office within 15 minutes or face legal actions for contempt of court.

  5. Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat on Tuesday made a measured reaction to the verdict to disband his People Power Party which has effectively caused the loss of his job and the collapse of the government.

"I did my best to administer the country," he said.

Somchai was chairing the weekly Cabinet meeting at his temporary office in Chiang Mai when the Constitution Court handed down the ruling to dissolve three coalition parties, including Chart Thai and Matchima Thipataya.

  8. Hi

Before I post a new topic for my wife's spa/beauty business in the Bangkok forum I thought that I'd check to see if it's against forum rules.

Basically she wants me to post in the Bangkok Forum saying that any ThaiVisa members that visit her shop on Silom and mention ThaiVisa will get a discount and I thought that it could be a great topic where other business owners in Bangkok could also promote their businesses giving discounts to ThaiVisa members.

So, would it be ok to post that new topic in the Bangkok Forum?

    Cheers

    Mick

  9. If it's at Banglamung police station then that's a long way out of town, so won't have any effect at all on the vast majority of Pattaya

If it is in front of the Banglamung police station, that means they will be blocking Sukhumvit.

  10. ALL of the delicious Pasta Sauce provided by Nana for the Thaivisa Anniversary party vanished.

A great party for Thaivisa members provided by our great sponsors.

You can read the comments HERE

    Thank you Nana!

who did the cooking at the party?

loads of positive feedback from satisfied customers, Kirk's got it right with recipe formula and manufacturing processes. Good on ya mate, said w/o irony :D

just of curiosity, you guys (who buy nana sauces), which pasta shape do you usually cook with those sauces?

Crowboy and I did the cooking. (Slow smoking the ribs....Nana cooked the pasta sauce...we just heated it) :o

We used Agnesi #3 spaghetti for simplicity since we were cooking enough for 179 people.

There wasn't enough Nana pasta sauce left over to fill 1 jar after it was served.

  11. And a special thanks to our host Tuskers for making this the BIGGEST and BEST Thaivisa party to date...the official attendance count was 179 members and guests.

It would not have been possible without the following sponsors....

Don's Foods for the fantastic ribs(that were entirely consumed) ....

The Eurogourmet for the fabulous sausages (that were entirely consumed)....

Nana Pasta Sauce for the delicious pasta sauce (that was entirely consumed)....

PSD who has always been a Thaivisa supporter and came through for us again....

And of course, AA Insurance who have just recently opened a Chiang Mai branch office. Not only that, but for those of you who aren't aware, AA Insurance went to great lengths to the DOI to register Thaivisa members as a specially designated group in order to afford them the best group rates available.

If you enjoyed the party, please post here and please use our sponsors services....without great sponors and great members, Thaivisa would be just "another" website.
