Netherlands Sends Panzerhaubitze 2000's to Ukraine.

Such a gutsy gift for such a small country!

Possibly revenge served cold for a previous unpunished  Russian War Crime.

Namely, the destruction of MH17 and the deaths of 193 Dutch citizens.

Nice with some mobile artillery systems. In these days with the newest radar systems that can pinpoint the artillery positions very fast, it's important to have mobile artillery that can fire a few rounds and then move to new locations.

Denmark bought the French made Caesar 8x8 artillery systems a few years ago, that can link several systems together and hit targets 40 km away, and that system is capable of setting up within minutes, each system fire about 6 155mm rounds in a minute, and drive away  30 second later and be long gone before the enemy are capable of hitting the place they fired from.

A shell takes about 30 seconds to land 40km away afaik, so in theory it only give the enemy 30 second to pinpoint the artillery position and fire if they want to hit that exact position in time.

By the time the 6th round hit, the ceasar systems are able to drive to new positions.

It has the disadvantage that some of the crew has to stand outside the vehicle while it's operated, but if you are supposed to be gone by the time when the enemy retaliate, it might outweigh the negatives.

I wonder if those ceasar systems are part of any weapon packs sent to Ukraine from any country?

He’s very clearly picked up on the commentary across news and other media regarding sitting at the head of ridiculously long tables.

Yeah there is a big difference in choice of tables, but it looks like he is struggling with something in video below.

Not the best things for the world if the russian dictator is getting seriously sick.

You never know what he might do before he clocks out.

Not that you can believe a word from the Russians but it wouldn't surprise me.

Russia says British SAS 'sabotage specialists' in Ukraine

According to the Ria Novosti news agency, at least two groups - or about 20 people in total - from the SAS have been deployed.

"These are no ordinary special forces," a Russian intelligence source is quoted as telling Novosti.

The source added that the SAS personnel are likely "co-ordinating the activities of sabotage groups" in Russian-controlled territory.

Hopefully some sabotage groups are successful in blowing up the Crimean bridge.

That would mess a lot with russian logistics.

Russia accused of using ‘bunker buster’ bombs to kill remaining Mariupol troops

Around 1,000 civilians were still hiding in shelters beneath a steel plant in the besieged city, officials have said..

The commander of the Azov Regiment of the National Guard stationed in Mariupol, Denys Prokopenko, alleged Russian planes had began to deploy “bunker busters” to kill the last Ukrainian fighters and civilians sheltering in Azovstal steel plant - the scene of the city's last stand against the invaders' onslaught.

One thing is to use those bombs against soldiers hunkering down, since they know they always are a target, but if you use them, when you know there are hundred of civilians at the same place, then it's just murder and a war crime.

Is that before he pushes the button or after? ☹️

I'm not so afraid of some of them pushing the button on purpose, because they know that would end their own lives and all they know.

I'm more afraid of another incident like that in Jan 25 1995 where a Norwegian science rocket almost caused a nuclear response.

Ukrainian forces used some of their newest missiles to blow up an ageing Soviet-era Russian warship in the biggest naval loss since Britain sunk the General Belgrano.

I like that lowtech approach if it's true.

Drones seems to be playing a large part in the war.

Drones are reported to have been used to harass the vessel and keep its air defences distracted before the missiles were fired from a hidden battery near Odessa.

I wonder how the chemicals and other armaments on the vessel  leeching from the vessel will affect the natural environment of the sea?

Probably ongoing for years after this disgusting war is settled.

Part of mans effects on our world. Very skilled at killing ourselves fast or slow.

The only inhabitant on the planet which has devised ways to kill itself in many efficient ways

There is probably some nasty things that will leak, but i would be more concerned about it's ability to launch nuclear warheads. Did they have any nuclear weapons on board or only conventional weapons.
