  1. I'm from Denmark and i think they should have kept him for the full sentence. Heroin in Thailand. Is he retarded or what. Do the crime, do the time.... A completely idiot and he need to stay behind iron bars. Don't send him to Denmark. Our prisons are filled to the brink with foreign drug dealers..... We don't even have room for ordinary prisoners now in the open prisons, so people have to wait to be able to get inside a prison to serve their time.
  2. Yeah and that's the same thing with data and statistics. Some really abuse those statistics without knowing the full truth behind the data being delivered. Maybe a bit of topic, but shows misinformation are spread by even well known experts. A good example is Eric Feigl-Ding that recently started posting some very misleading Twitter posts, that discredited Denmark and started what could be seen as a fear mongering crusade. His posts are being discredited by danish experts, and they explain the truth behind the data, but to late when it's already is on his Twitter. To bad, because i liked his previous statistics, but he really dropped the ball on this one. He is not totally wrong, but he failed to interpret the data correct and therefore it's misleading. Just shows we all need to be critical when we read stuff online.
  3. I live in a cold dark country in Scandinavia and we have dropped all restrictions a week ago. You know what? I prefer to stay here in this cold climate and live with no restrictions like a free human being, compared to traveling to Thailand and deal with all the restrictions. I'm triple vaxed with Pfizer btw and are positive for restrictions, but only when it's needed, but omicron changed the game plan. I look forward to visiting Thailand again once ALL restrictions are lifted. Until then my money are spent elsewhere, and i spent quite a large amount of money in Thailand. 12 trips in 9 years and I'm no cheap Charlie when i travel, and i hope i will be making another 12 trips the next 9 years. See you when all restrictions are dropped
  4. True, but you also have to look at which stage are your country at. Here in Denmark they estimate that more than 50% of the population had covid during the last two years (2 mill officially had been tested positive in a 5.8 mill pop.), and since more than 80% are vaxed we should start seeing drastically decreasing numbers very soon. At that stage there might not be the same need to vaccinate the youngest children. Especially not after omicron surfaced. Of course countries are at different stages, so the need to vaccinate children could differ a lot from country to country. I'm a huge fan of vaccines as you know, but for now i don't think the risk/benefit is good enough, at the current stage in Denmark. We're back to normal and lifted all restrictions, so that's also a good indicator that we can stop vaccinating the youngest kids from 5-11. Here is the official recommendation in Denmark when they started recommending vaccines in Nov 2021. https://www.sst.dk/en/English/News/2021/Vaccination-of-5-11-year-old-children-is-to-help-stop-infection "Children rarely become severely ill with COVID-19, but they risk infecting their parents and grandparents, who may become ill. Although protection of the children is not the primary objective, vaccination of 5-11-year-olds can provide greater safety and security for the individual child and family because it reduces the risk of infecting vulnerable family members" We're at a different stage now since omicron BA.2 are 99% of the current cases, so Delta is practically eradicated. That combined with a large % of the 5-11 year old already vaccinated and a huge part of all kids already got covid since nov, changes the gameplay.
  5. To bad there are no studies that show the penis will shrink if you get covid and don't have anti bodies prior to that. That would sell the vaccines automatically since women would force their men into getting the vaccine. ????
  6. I followed various studies since the pandemic started and several mentioned high doses of D vitamin and Zink, could be a good supplement. Not to protect against covid, but it could possibly help some people against severe illness. So i took high doses of vitamin D and added Zink early on before the vaccines were available and after i got my shots i stopped eating Zink and D vitamin. Now i just take some D vitamins, to get some D vitamins in the dark winter period, and not so much for protection against illness if i get covid. Haven't gotten covid yet so no idea if pills would have helped me out or not. I work in the pharmaceutical industry so I'm critical when I'm reading about studies. There are a lot of "studies" out there, that fits better inside the magazines at the hairdresser. But thankfully it's hard to get an overdose of D vitamin, so even if it didn't work against covid if i had gotten it, it didn't hurt since i needed D vitamins after all. Only had 1 trip to to Koh Chang and 1 trip to Tenerife in 2 years so my body screams for D vitamin here in dark cold climate. When i go through articles i look at which stuff they recommend and if it's vitamins etc that your body normally need and are very hard to overdose, then it's only money you lose when you buy them, but when articles recommend all sorts of weird <deleted> , i just stop reading. It's crazy when you think about what kind of stuff people digested during these 2 years to protect against covid. Some sadly died of it too. So be critical, and do your research before buying all sorts of weird things. If it does not harm your body and hard to overdose from, then it's only money you lose if it turns out to be useless against covid.
  7. Don't show Thailand this old article. That will give them an idea thatthey are undercharging tourists with only 300 baht ???? https://www.insider.com/countries-that-require-a-tourist-tax-2019-2#japan-enacted-a-tourist-tax-at-the-beginning-of-2019-2
  8. I don't mind paying tourists tax if they get rid of dual pricing.....
  9. I think it became a little bit more difficult to decide if a young kid should get a shot or not after Omicron surfaced. Now when we have a variant that seems to cause less fatalities amongst the adults, we can't use the same reasoning to vaccinate the younger generation. I guess it also depends which country a person i living in. In November the Danish health authorities recommended vaccines for kids 5-11. This week the director appeared in an article, saying they are debating if that recommendation still is valid. Omicron simply changed the game plan within 2 months and we are now in a different place in the pandemic, where it might not be just as good an idea to vaccinate children as it were 2 months ago. For countries that still battle with Delta, i think it's another discussion.
  10. China are having some pretty cruel ways of preparing and serving fish. Documentary showed this one. A live carp being cut into and they dip it into frying oil, but just the lower body, so when it's served the fish is still gasping for air and gills are moving. Bon appetit....
  11. Anosmia is still a symptom from Omicron. Just not as often as with the Delta. So better keep your tiger balm ???? Approx 13% vs 34% https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.newsnationnow.com/us-news/does-omicron-cause-loss-of-smell-or-taste/amp/
  12. It's not about getting a cold and then you're protected. It's about that a common cold from a Corona virus, could give you some extra protection. So if you had 2 or 3 shots, and then a few months later get a common cold from a Corona virus, then your anti bodies will rise again, which can't be a bad thing, when we're talking about protection against covid. Of course the people who do not get the vaccines, can get some protection too from a cold, but that's not the most viable solution.
  13. If you tested positive with omicron you have a low chance of getting it again. Not impossible since many get reinfected, but just a low chance. So i wouldn't be too scared to travel. I would just choose a country that requires no test as long as you are vaccinated. I have a college that had covid 3 times so that's of course annoying. He got it first in 2020 and then also the delta and last the omicron. So some are really unlucky and some never get it. Me and gf didn't have it yet and we traveled on vacation during the omicron outbreak.
  14. Maybe they can start checking the CT values. They did that at the European championships in handball last month and players tested positive, that had high CT values were allowed to play, since a high CT value meant lower virus levels. Explained here in another article and seems like it's not bullet proof, but might be viable. https://www.science.org/content/article/one-number-could-help-reveal-how-infectious-covid-19-patient-should-test-results
  15. We're not stopping testing next week. We dropped all restrictions a couple of days ago in Denmark, but quickest centers are still open until March 6. PCR tests will still continue and have a daily capacity of 200.000 tests. People are recommended to use home tests and only use PCR tests if having symptoms or if quickest is positive. Still monitoring the situation even if we opened up Example. Today's statistic. 40.000 positive from 164.000 tests, so even if we dropped all restrictions we still tests a whole lot more than most of the world per million population. Experts are however discussing if it's worth spending so much money on testing. We spent more than 20 billion danish kroner on testing which is approx 100 billion baht. So far during the pandemic we used 61 million PCR tests and 59 million quick tests in a 5.8 million population, so each danish person has in average been tested 20 times during the pandemic. Worth it? No idea, but i know it's nice we dropped all the restrictions here. Thailand will eventually come to the same conclusion that it is possible to open up with no restrictions, but who knows when that will happen.
  16. And why do you think we here in Scandinavia are able to return to normal once again. A combo of vaccinations boosters and omicron. Without vaccinations and boosters we would still have restrictions.
  17. Test and you shall find and since 100% of the tourist are tested it's only natural some positives slip through. Now how about testing 100% of the local population in Phuket and compare numbers...
  18. What are the price difference between Europe compared to Thailand? Here in Denmark i can buy 100 CE labeled surgical masks for 100 Dkr which is 500 baht. So 5 baht pr mask. Are they really that much cheaper in Thailand, so people would speculate in filling their luggage with masks and sell in Europe?
  19. Install a jet engine on your balcony and blow him off his balcony. Problem solved and people constantly fall off balconies in Thailand so no one will ask questions.
  20. I wouldn't mind exercising and i seriously need it, since i started to get winded just by walking stairs. BMI 26 so not super overweigt, just the regular beer belly that is hard to lose when getting older. I'm sure im skinny/fat as well, so that would be a good reason to start exercising too. What stops me is that i can't seem to find the free time to do it. After getting home from work i'm not feeling like i have the energy or time to insert time for exercise. So i tell myself that when i retire, i will start exercising.
  21. https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-021-27674-x#article-comments Very small study, but seems like common cold caused by other corona virus, can create T- cells that protect against SARS-COV-2 Not bad if we can get some ekstra protection caused by a common cold.
  22. I'm not sure that is totally correct. My colleague has some friends that went to Thailand last week and 1 ended up testing positive on day 5. No hospital for that person, but has too stay inside at Sha+ hotel but are allowed to use pool as long as only 1 person in the pool. Can get some sun outside as well on roof top Not sure if the hotels interpret the rules differently, but not all are taken to hospital. No matter what, i wouldn't book a flight to Thailand right now A couple of things i won't accept. Tests before and at arrival and masks outdoors. I can accept masks while shopping or using public transport. That's it. Until those restrictions are lifted i travel to other countries that just require proof of vaccines, no tests and no masks.
  23. If i can fit in a box do i get a discount from Copenhagen to Bangkok?
