Hi,
my social security number (working as employee here since 2008) is different than the number on my pink ID card (issued 2022)
I am using the SSO connect app and have acces to all my details
Planing to use article 39 voluntary insurance once retired and to receive monthly old pension benefits of about 5000 THB with 60y retire age or about 4,000 THB if I retire with 55y as well - hope all will go smoth.....
Cheers

Many people buy from Asia City Motors in Bowin, they are on facebook, try and get Grail on Line or messenger but i hear she may have left, others English isn't great. Cheaper for sure
when I have tried last year Asia City Motors had similar inflated prices and finance only.....ended up buying a young 2nd hand NMax and satisfied

The same items are more expensive in Australia (so if you dont mind carrying the tent....)...

Thanks for the suggestion. I found Siam too, just after the OG post. Siam had a nice roof/pool/view, but wasn't quite the vibe, and the location was a bit too isolated for mumsy! Just an update, we found a place in Phratamnak that had everything we were looking for (plus not a mega condo, so more communal too) plus the owner was kind enough to offer netting and all kinds of other protections for the balcony/cat (we will decide the best method when we move in, and likely keep the cat indoors mostly anyway).
Shout out to the cat-lover post above too - our cat is female so way cleaner than male cats - they lick their fur more often and spend a lot of time washing, this is due to the fact female cats hunt, that said, she is spayed, so doesn't have that instinct as much anymore, as mentioned, she's a very docile and lovable service cat that wouldn't be an issue whatsoever in a condo - hence the post. ????
A few messages in this thread mentioned pets in condos, but not "official", so I can respect why they may not have shared. Curious to hear more suggestions all the same, and for others in the same situ.
As a rule of thumb for those in the same scenario as me and my mother; it's best to call (plus visit if possible) and ask (as high up the food chain as you can with regards to ownership of the condo) because there are more "pet-friendly" places than the estate agents know of themselves. On the other hand, we've been told of serious fines and potential eviction if caught with a pet in condos that have strict policies.
So you'll have to use your judgement based on these variables. Best of luck! What the name of the condo?

FYI - just paid the yearly property tax for my condo in Pattaya (not my reg. address and rented out) 486 THB for 69sqm, my house (company named) was 509 THB....so very reasonable

it will expire on your birthday so 5 years + the time to next birthday, ie apply the day after your expiry date and it will be valid for almost 6 years
it used to be like that - not anymore, now 5 years only

have the Rally and my mate the 300l, the 300L is lighter and easier to handle off road but the small tank 7.8l is a pain.....
in Pattaya the 300L can be purchased straight from the show room, no discount, no test ride......for the Rally have to wait several months....
we both did Oehlins suspension upgrades for 30K front and rear and other upgrades, handle bar, crash bars etc
In and around Pattaya are plenty L's to rent but no Rally

SSO question
in Insurance in Thailand
Posted
my current amount on SSO is 153,195 THB after about 15.5y contribution, so I can opt for the lump sum anytime after retire or (my plan) I can apply for mothly pension at the age from 55 if contributed at least 15 years to SSO, the amount is calculated as follows
20% out of 15,000 THB (caped max salary) = 3,000 THB/month (base pension)
plus 1.5% per year contributed over 15 years, so in my case total 24 years (if working until 60) = 9y x 1 .5%=13.5%
33.5% out of 15K = 5,025 THB monthly pension
(my goal is to retire with 55 in 2008, 19y = 4y x 1.5%=6%, total 26% from 15K= 3,900 THB/M)
this is not affected by the 432 THB/M voluntary contribution to maintain SSO covergage
Cheers J
