So in two years when the money dries up you are worth more dead than alive?

send them to a labour camp in Lapland, this would refresh their ideas.
Sweden has tried it, they refused to get out of the buses.
No blond Virgins that welcome them...

From Stickboy.
QuoteWitnesses told police the Brit was overtaking when he hit the bike and continued driving for another kilometer before stopping. Angry bystanders who seen the accident gave chase believing Edwards was trying to flee the scene.

Hmm, unwanted child in Thailand or wanted child in the US.
Wonder what is the best for the child...
Think Cindy must open her eyes for what is best for the child and not her concerns about age difference.

thought the yellows are in power. why is a yellow getting locked up?
You think it's about yellow and reds?
It has only to do Chineese clans power, nothing about politics or the needs of the Thais.
The Hakkas, Hailamese, Cantonese, Hokkiens and Teochew , control every institution that is important in Thailand.
Thaksin is Hakka.
Abhisit is Hokkien.
Sondhi is Hailamese .
Then we have the Teochew .....

I doubt it, he's a Thai as well so he's going to be a first rate <deleted>-up, but this is Thailand, most of 'em are first-rate <deleted>-ups so you pays yer money and you takes yer choice.

p.s. What do you expect from a Newcastle supporter?
He is Chinese first,.
14% of the population but 70% of all politicians.
The all belong to Chinese clans that divide up the politic spectrum.
The Hakkas, Hailamese, Cantonese, Hokkiens and Techius, control every institution that is important.
Thaksin is Hakka.
Abhisit is Hokkien.
Sondhi is Hailamese .
Then we have the Techius.....

Miss-read the title, thought it started with an "F"

Seem only the UDD taking a lead role in keeping the junta decent for the referendum. The junta should just allow the centers to function. They just there to help the junta to detect fraud. Why is the junta so afraid of transparency. They should thank the UDD for using their resources to help make the referendum credible and give the junta a better image after they staged an illegal coup and caused a global PR meltdown.
They are just there to make sure the voters vote right.
It's like their brown shirt predecessors in 1930 Germany.
Armed red-shirt guards outside polling stations, that's transparency.

The new constitution will cut this to 12 years. Not sure if this order supersedes the new constitution, but this order really means nothing.
It says minimum 12 years, that will leave future governments to make it 18 if they like.

Hmmm. Perhaps some of the slightly bonkers anti-Thaksin brigade might offer a comment? They seem to know all about the Men in Black even though just about everyone else thinks they're an urban legend and nobody can find any of them...
Winnie
Found them.

Hooray for all corrupt individuals that are convicted! Now, let's see it anyone from the other side of the political divide are offered the same consideration.
Come on "PM", holding my breath here!

This is news these days? During the Thaksin regime there were many thousands who died in police custody.
Think what people are questioning is that his cell was not checked for 5 hours...
But then if it was night do you go around waking everybody up every hour to see if the are alive? well yes I bet very few will be asleep, I bet he was not found in a peaceful slumber position but more probably died a agonising death where cries of pain or for help went unchecked.
In reality I think that a risk assessment should be done on all those held in custody and actions taken accordingly, yes cells should be checked every hour, for persons at risk of self harming or those suffering from affects of booze and drugs should be checked more frequently,
Maybe he went to a "Safe house" like the Burmese two from koh tao.

Alone in a Thai cell?
A cell at a police station, not unusual.
Unusual at the Bophut Police station.
There is a guard sitting there 24/7, they fill up the cells closest until there is no more room to sleep on, then the next cell.
And yes, they have cctv cameras, bet they were non functional....
I go there there to translate..

And the Thai education system has never really been free. Uniforms and writing instruments and stationery also cost, not to mention the mandatory haircut.
Free during the last democrat reign (exempt the haircut)
Thaksin took that away as he did with the free healthcare.

Like the previous poster said 1.5 million Thai Baht (30k £) / year.
If you are OK with that then maybe the Thai Elite program is for you.
Teaching English will only pay around 30.000 baht / month

I saw Andrew Drummond run it as a real story, with links to phishing site.

Money for the hospital bill? - what ever happened to the "30 baht health scheme" - In someone's time of need where is that now? How would people living in the "Subsistence Economy" be able to afford hospital bills? Maybe he can trade a coco nut for a 50k hospital bill?
"30 baht health scheme" is the biggest scam by Thaksin.
It only covers you in the Amphur where you have your house book.
It was designed to keep his loyal farmer voters home in Issan, think if they came out in the world and discovered that all he told them was a lie.

While in jail he might consider than Uranus is in position now.

Still think confiscation is a better solution personally
Don't think confiscating the helmets will solve anything.

The RTP had the players sign confessions about illegal gambling before releasing them, This is not about the 120 card law..This news just hit the BBC news radio.
Said it was an "obscure" law banning more than 120 playing cards in one place.
555, this is great!
And they were fluent readers in Thai so they all knew what they signed... ?
