  1. Naturally I am expecting another fruitless frustrating day dealing with Thai bureaucracy but doing nothing might be worse.
  2. Well I just phoned kbanks call centre about this.As I suspected they did not have an email for me. Their agent recommended I went to a KBANK branch soon as it is required for all to fill in these forms.I could not obtain a Thai TIN earlier the tax office told me to come back at the end of the year with a bank statement for 2024.So I plan to go tomorrow with my UK N I number and UTR.To the best of my knowledge I am tax resident in Thailand hopefully after explaining this they will give me something to allow the tax office to issue a TIN.
  3. Nothing in spam I don't remember giving them my email address anyway.
  4. I am a k bank account holder for about 15 years and have not received this email but if I was to get it I would be very wary of providing any information via email.Sounds dodgy tbh.
  5. I went to Jomtien tax office with the missus back in April and was told to come back at the end of the year with a yearly bank statement if I wanted a TIN. Felt stupid for following the rules...
  6. This breed needs to be aggressively spayed/neutered out of existence.
  7. Exactly especially given multiple expats me included have been refused TIN numbers already under the old system.
  8. I tried at Jomtien in April and was told no TIN for you and to come back at the end of the year with a bank statement for 2024 which I intend to do and take it from there.Seems like a complete shambles to be honest.
  9. My question is about 'allowable expenses' as a deduction.. on the 90 tax form it states 50% but not exceeding 100,000 baht. What exactly are 'allowable expenses'?Can everyone who is filing a return claim this or does it have to be an actual expense incurred and what would be an example of said expense? Thanks.
  10. After studying the tax return form 90 and the notes for filling it in I can't see a section for claiming tax credit under a dta with one's home country or where you put the 150.000 baht allowance on the attachment.Perhaps someone could do an example form as was done with form 91?Thanks.
  11. Thanks just making sure..tomorrow it is.
  12. Is Jomtien soi 5 immigration open today? Thanks guys.
  13. Yes I honestly believed that.My only defence is there are many many things in this world that we have to do at least by the letter of the law that make zero sense to me.
  14. I for one appreciate your hard work Mike.If you have read my reply to proton what would you advise me to do when I've tried to follow the law and been sent away by unhelpful staff and without a tin number?
  15. Very few I suspect including sections of the revenue department.I went to Jomtien tax office this morning after following the simple tax guide to get a tin number as per the law and came away empty handed. They told my wife and I to come back next year with a bank statement. This will be way past the mandated 60 days deadline for bringing assessable income into Thailand and my residence cert. might be expired after 30 days.A total waste of time and money!
  16. I've been curious about this too..
  17. 100 Percent the best thing to do however easier said than done!
  18. Seems every 6 months to a year a nightmare scenario appears to disturb our tranquility in the LOS but rarely does anything come of it.I'm guessing/hoping this is just another
  19. Maybe I'm wrong here but it's possible he is referring to self assessment and you to PAYE which is normally repaid via the tax code
  20. See my later posts mine was corrected yesterday after more than 4 months waiting and phone calls.I wouldn't say it's very simple having to do hmrc's job for them.
