1. I wish you had been more precise; I can visualize 3 exits from Carrefour into their carpark - excluding the front exit. Anyway, I'll look around over there.

To the side of Carrefour ( come out of Carrefour side entrance and turn right then on the left)is a medium sized store. In there is a walkie talkie retailer inside that has many different types and is very knowledgeable. Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of the store, it mostly sells mobile phones

As you look at Carrefour from the front it is the road on the right hand side take the exit into that road and go right a little. It is on the left. I just can't remember the name

Maewang Electronics about 100m on left side Behind Carefoure

    Hamshop No1 Behind wat prasing

Whelen on Hangdong road after airport Plaza Robinson.

  2. Beware its forbidden for a farrang to use a 2way radio without the proper license in Thailand.

Even the red color Cb radios must be registered.

If caught by the Police very hefty fine or up to 5 years of imprisonment.

So if you dont have the proper license keep your fingers away.

I have the proper license for ham radio and it will take up to 4 month to do the paper work.

  3. The ants that live inside the Bamboo is hard to get rid of, if you want to use bamboo and it should last a long time.

Then you have to soak it in water for 2 to 3 weeks to drown all the ants and eggs inside the Bamboo and after dry it quickly and spry paint a cellulose lack on the outside to seal it.

  4. Beware the programs that are free to look at for you on a private dish is not free for any cable or satellite operator to send out in its programing. it will cost them a lot of money .

Thats why it is not done. ;)

  5.
has got to stand for tits tits and tits, there absolutely hopeless, is anyone else having internet difficulties with them, the big question is, is there anyone out there who's better at supplying a decent internet supply....i'm sort of guessing that the reply will be no!

Yes there is but it will depend on your location. You have True, Cat, AIS and 3bb. I dumped TIT 3 years ago and went over to AIS 3G. Best move I made.

ok i live in land and house sansai, am i in a 'qualified' area for ais 3g?

    Answer is yes

  6. You have until the 7th of the month to pay your bill at 7-11. I believe that's the way it is everywhere in Thailand. The 10th is the last day you can pay it at the Electric Company before your service is shut off. Get over to 7-11 and pay it there by 23:59 of the 7th (sooner the better). The office in Sansai is very difficult to find. It is on a country road in a part of Sansai you would bever usually go. I can't begin to give directions. It is very complicated.

Of course you can pay at 7/11 I do that all the time, if not the office is on the name is SAHAKON old Road sansai to Maejoo

from sansai 4 km on left side you cant miss it

  9. well Im on the second year now with my Router Package 3G and 3o Gb download for 799 bath + wat

I went the other day to get me a new mobile on 3 G and got a promotion on that one for 500 Mb download a month and this for 12 month , so if you go to the AIS in Town its reasonable to get a god deal.

Sorry I am Tech challenged. Would 500 MB be good for only a short time.

well It depend on what you will do, but for send some emails and download some mp3s or for navigate around town it ok, and also using skype on mobile where and read news.

The rest I do in my home on the 3 G router

I'm on 30 GB per month at 1500 baht.

GotLost, are you using the Super 3G wireless modem/router thingie, or an airstick? I am in San Pu Loei, which is only 12 km from town and I bought the 3G airstick because everyone around me has access to 3G. Oddly enough, my village seems to be in a little 3G-deprived bubble :( I am wondering if the wireless modem/router will work better. Thanks.

I have the aircard. Did you check with THE MAIN OFFICE and their map for you location. If so and your still in a pocket the router may work as you can do an antenna with it.

There is a conector on the Router to put an outdor antenna I use that my self to get a god stabil signal I live just on the outscirt of maejoo and its just outside the reach on the AIS map.

    and it works flawles.
