The stuff with the screw top ( as opposed to the blue bottle with the pull top ) has no particular  taste so mixed well with anything you like. I drink the 30 degree stuff ( a bit poof to a Thai ) but no hangover or Gerd makes it my tipple of choice and at 60 baht a bottle what's not to like.

I can't comment with experience because I don't drink, but I've only ever seen the local hardcore drinkers on a tight budget going for that stuff. 
 

What I have heard is that spirits in Thailand are generally made with the lowest quality ingredients and with fast and low cost fermentation processes.

I assume at some point you get what you pay for and so there is bound to be some give and take on price versus quality?

You mentioned in another topic smoking a gram of Sherbet Queen in a day. To me that seems like a lot of wear and tear on the respiratory system. On the higher quality stuff I normally use, I can vape only 1/4 gram and get well baked. It may cost 3X the price, but it's a lot less wear and tear on the system having to only breathe in 1/4 of the amount of vapor for the same effect. On the Mother Gorilla it took me half a gram to get a solid hold in place. So also not as strong on the THC. 
 

I realize everyone's tolerances can be different, but there is still a good case for paying a bit more for weed with higher THC levels. 

If you smoke the KD then how much of that do you normally burn through in a day?

Nothing. He just did a bit of soldering on the control board AFAIK. I assume some faulty electrical connections were reconnected. 

I had control boards eventually fail on 3 air-cons. Same problem, fan coil unit shuts off normally, but compressor outside stays on after unit being powered off.
 

The first 2 they charged 2,000+ Baht each to replace. On the 3rd one they had run out of spare control boards so the guy quickly soldered it for a couple of minutes and then it was fine again and no longer needed replacing. Then charged only 500 Baht for the repair service on that one. This tells me they all probably could have been soldered and not replaced.

A nice little business they have going with control boards that all eventually tucker out, but could actually still be repaired and don't really need replacing. Hmmmm...
