Alright, the True guys never showed up. So I got someone else. He could also not get it working. He eventually called True but they just hung up on him lol. So we got that RS thing going in HD at leased. I`ve already unsubscribed from True. Terrible service.

Ok thanks everyone for your kind help. So far no luck. I`ve called True and they said they will come about 1 o`clock to have a look. Will give you an update when it`s all good (hopefully).

Another thing is that my box seems to be different from yours. It`s smaller I think, but the menu`s are the same as "yabbra".

Not sure which box and subscription you have but I subscribed to the Gold package with True about 8 months ago and got a quite small box with HDMI cable and such. Any way to check if it`s any updates available?

Anyone have the channels 668 and 678?

With me they`re still not there. The box simply skips these channels.

By the way, when I was looking at this Gold channel list http://www.truevisionsgroup.com/package_gold.aspx , some channels are marked (for instance BBC World News HD, Food Network HD, EDGE Sport HD and some others) and it says "Available for CATV subscriber only". Is this what you guys are talking about? If not, what is CATV subscription?

CATV = Cable TV. They can get some additional channels

I tried to register online but it says "Your account does not allow to register.". So I called them and they say we`re already registered. When I was reading through what we was talking about earlier here someone said something like, "If you go to channel 668, info text will show". On my box the channel 668 and 678 is not there at all. Is that the way it`s suppose to be? I called true about that and they said the channels will come, but I just can`t help myself not trusting these guys on that. I always hate last minute rush.

and excluding Udon Thani, again... What are they waiting for? Unlike in the beginning of the martial law, when the soldiers where conscious, the only thing the soldiers have been doing the last 5 days or so is sitting, eating, talking and laughing, when they`re not sleeping. I haven`t heard about a single sign of a threat or any reason why the Army should be present at all. I know what happened in 2010 and that there were protests last year, but now it`s really nothing. Most reds up here seems to be satisfied with the situation for the time being. Correct me if you disagree.

So, like many others in this area, I went over the street to get that RS HD thing, not even hooked it up yet lol. The money doesn`t bother me, but the fact that they knowingly lie and are telling people this just 3 days before the world cup starts, and basically let thousands of people waste their precious money and hassle for absolutely nothing, that makes me angry, mildly speaking. If this isn`t a scam, then what is? I know of several ordinary Thai households with really not much to spare that will feel at leased the same way, if not worse. Some of these This even had to buy a new PSI parabol. Almost everyone in this neighborhood already had TrueVision. I never even liked RS in the first place.

Anyway. World Cup is just around the corner. I don`t want to waste another single neuron on thinking about this company ever again.

Of course I want. In fact, world cup should`ve been broadcasted for free to everyone according to ntbc. But I was talking about the fact that they knowingly scam people to buy their services. Had they at leased told people earlier that they will let True send world cup then thousands wouldn`t buy RS boxes, because they already had True.

Sweden 450,295 sq.km. (ranked 56 in the world and 5 in Europe)

Finnmark county (fylke) in far north Norway is even larger, even by land area only, 45,757 sq.km.

As Greenland and Faroe Islands is danish territory it can´t be excluded.

In one hand I`m getting more out of the Norwegian kroners when there are wars and crisis in oil and gas rich regions and Thailand. The NOK\THB currencies are really dancing, but just small adjustments can make as much as 15 000 baht more or less a month. For the last 2-3 years it has been increasing. At the lowest 1 kroner was 4.60 baht or so during the time I`ve been in Thailand. It`s now at 5,49. In my case that makes an 65 300 thb increase a month from the lowest.

In the other hand I would rather see Thai economy flourish, better infrastructure, better schools and education, better healthcare, more industries and innovation, pension, greater opportunities in wealth and health. I think that will do everyone good, even when it means my Norwegian money is less worth.
