Tell him to jump in a dingy and head for the UK...no visa required,free hotel on arrival, full board,free phone, push bike,clothes & medical on site...oh and spending money!

I think what they are trying to say is that besides the Immigration check points there is no barrier or anything to stop you crossing so you could still cross the border elsewhere...just hope there's no authorities on patrol either side at the time.

That's good 20k thb fine..not like the never ending Cambodia System..I paid $3,300 at the airport not long ago for about a year overstay. Lot's of farangs stuck there can't afford to leave and the bill going up and up.
