They'll keep squeezing as much as they can from the cash cow known as Thai Pass as long as possible.
Hardly a cash cow, if was not in place tge TAT would be getting tge numbers they dream off.
Tge Thai pass is still restrictive & a pain in the ass to complete.

And there is the trouble with Vaccinated people.
Vaccinated people can get the virus, can be sick with the virus, can spread the virus, and can die from the virus.
They should be treated no differently to non vaccinated.
If you dont want PCR tests, dont travel. Simple as that.
Vaccinated and non-Vaccinated should all be tested by PCR the same - to stop the spread of Covid in its many variant forms.
Be interested to see ur post fact checked!
But I agree to the PCR tests etc., a necessary hassle to see my family after 6months again and 8 months last yr. -

2020. September is record month for migrant Channel crossings
Is the correct answer! Probably had been festering for months, in the refugee camps in Calais and Dunkirk.
But don't that get in the way of our former European masters!

2. How many people in Thailand have died from Covid-19 ?
3. Why aren't we locking down Thailand for Tuberculosis ?
Data used from statista.com.
https://www.statista.com/statistics/689740/thailand-deaths-by-tuberculosis/
https://www.statista.com/statistics/331889/total-population-of-thailand/
https://www.statista.com/statistics/1093256/novel-coronavirus-2019ncov-deaths-worldwide-by-country/
Simple reason for TB, there is a very effective vaccination and also antibiotic treatment if caught early enough. In most part its either laziness to get vaccinated at a suitable age or poor education of the masses. In Europe TB has basically been irradiated until, surge of illegal migrants/refugees landed on European shores.
COVID-19 however is another ball game altogether, we don't know hoe effective the various vaccinations are going to be long term and unlike TB which can take years before it will kill you and transmission is quite difficult. Compared to a virus like COVID, which is highly contagious and will kill many people not just the vulnerable or old!
I hope that helps ????- 4

English must not be your first language.
This variant started in England. It's already spread all over the world.
From England.
I think what you're *trying* to say is that this variant could come from anywhere now: Sweden, America, even China.
Anywhere someone who has been to England and then went to other countries and spread it to the population who have never been to England. ????
This Variant was first noticed in Kent, England which just happens to be on the English channel. The hundreds of illegal asylum seekers everyday to to cross this channel! How many of those have been tested before arrival I would hazard a guess of ZERO!
It is more likely this variant developed before arrival in the UK and Kent became the epi-centre for its dispersal to wider UK public/World -
Notice how the rates of infection are dropping massively in those countries with a robust vaccination program.
Test and tracing too work in hand.
So as soon as Thailand follow other countries leads in vaccination & true test & trace systems we will continue in the same vicious cycle!- 1

Not proven, if you read the article you cited.
It may be up to 70% more infectious, the latest research puts it between 30 to 50%...
Let's not spread headline grabbing news, but present the data.
Also, UK cases are falling rapidly
UK cases are falling rapidly due to, two factors.
1. A sustained lockdown period again2. Most importantly, a world class vaccination role and uterlisation, currently some 32m adults have received their first vaccination, with 5-6m completing their 2nd. So over 50% of adult population now vaccinated in some form with whole population on course for July.
Yes the UK got things wrong in the beginning, but by the end of it the UK will be in better shape than rest of the world evolved countries- 1

They also wondered where this came from in the UK.
Looking at the map and locating where Kent is helps to clarify the situation when you combine it with the knowledge that France had a massive and unprecedented surge in COVID infections a couple of months prior to the 'UK Variant' being detected by those scientists in the UK who perform half of the entire worlds viral sequencing.
Here's a google maps copy/paste of Kent :
The probable Kent variant arrive on the shores of Kent from the illegals arriving in inflatable boats form Calais or Dunkirk refugee camps. Where the French basically help them illegally to cross the channel. <deleted> they have to make the transit to the UK when they are in a 'safe' country after fleeing Syria etc is beyond me!

The question being asked everywhere on social media it seems, is which members of the highest strata of Thai society have the ability to travel freely without quarantine? Krystal pub is very much the haunt of these people. We have cabinet ministers too refusing to disclose their movements in the last week or two.
Then the world would know how many sideline or geeks not including Mia's they have been with.
After they have seen their 'friends' these ladies then hit the bars and clubs of BKK flush with cash and pass onto my brother Somchai.
Not hard to see how this spreads so quickly with their attitudes- 1

Slightly off topic but,
How many people have been vaccinated so far?
Most countries show these statistics, but I haven't seen any figures from Thailand. Does anyone have a link?
In the UK as of last-night just short of 29m alone for the 1st vaccination and 3m for their 2nd jab.

Not Thailand, but on the same subject. I recently had to travel the 100 miles (160 km) to London rtn recently. It cost around £90 on the train, all-up, probably could've done it for £70 by car.
3 hours ago, Daithi85 said:I don't think Thai people need a test.
The Thai's dont, the repat flight I was on last yr from London had 250 Thai's their status unknown. The 50 expats jumping through hoops and if like me locked myself away for 14days before I travelled just so I was sure I be clear at the airport.
Then I was sat in the middle of 2 Thai's with no knowledge of their COVId status! So the potential for me to be exposed was massive. And then if I had contracted COVID whilst in flight, I would of had to go through the whole process hospitals and potentially endangered my health!
Absolutely no logic in it, other than Thai's are immune not like the dirty Farrang!
I hope Karma massively bites them on the <deleted>.- 2

Another self entitled HISO who thinks they are above the law, maybe the bike should of be confiscated with a fine of 100K for total disregard of the law!
Personally I am glad that big bikes are not allowed on the toll way.
It's bad enough with the Yabba truck and pickup drivers who think they are in a Fast and Furious movie.
These idiots will make it even worse on big bikes- 1

Was my instant thought after I watched the clip . Some spoilt guy who has never had anyone say no to him and throws his toys out of the pram when he doesn’t get his way . The way he acts , is dressed and is ushered away by those around him suggests he’s someone who has family in high places or money !
Maybe Boris the 'Russian' has a lot of friends to, the beach mafia type may of struck the wrong Russian and you never insult a Russians child like that woman did giving her the finger, like she did.
I can see this turning very nasty in the coming weeks or months

Very true on my repatriation flight from the UK only the non-thais had COVID-19 testing done prior to our departure.
This seems crazy in itself, that one Thai on the plane who could be infectious then has the potential to infect 300 passengers and crew!
Of those 300 say what if one of those has a key factor such as diabetes or COPD?
They become seriously due to the infection through no fault of their own.
So IMHO all should have clear COVID-19 tests regardless of nationality before flying back to Thailand

Not necessarily true, he will be Firstly assessed and IF he meets the requirements then yes he may receive the modifications.
If he owns the property outright, they be forced to liquidate it to pay the for the modifications.
Of course if you were an illegal or dole waller then this would be done instantly without question
