Hi all , ive been looking now at both the CBR150R and the Phantom. Both nice bikes but the Phantom has a bit more character.Ive now saved up some money and can almost afford to buy one(second hand at moment).Since ive been looking out for them on the street ive noticed a few more similar bikes...a steed and a kawasaki(dont know the model....am I right in thinking its a Boss?).What do you guys think about these(and others) and are they still in the same price range as a Phantom?Same cc?etc etc.
Maybe my memory is wrong but a while back whilst looking in the shops a Phantom is 85,000 and the Boss is 65,000.If this is right is there any reason to pay the extra 20,000?
Also is there any major differences in the Phantom 150cc 175cc and 200cc apart from the engine sizes?
Off to try to get my Thai driving licience now.
P.s. still looking for second hand Phantom(or similar chopper) etc if anyone knows of one.
Which is the best classified website for bkk(maybe even pattaya)
Thanks again boys
Choppers 150cc ??????????? :

My wife suffers terribly when bitten by mosquitos, gnats, etc, reacts with enormous swellings. Are mosquitos a problem everywhere in Thailand at this time of year, or are there actually mosq.free areas? We want to avoid the use of malaria tablets if we can avoid them. Any suggestions??
You need logs!2 off good logs....put the mosquito on one and hit hard with the other, mosquito dead, and you can pin on the wall....

Quite a few places here in Phuket, do a search and you should come up with a few places.
There was a Australian bloke who wanted to sell his business here in Phuket. It consists of heaps of harley bits and pieces. Maybe go to www.phuketgazette.net and place a free add - Im sure you will get a response.
I have a WLA at home in Aus and I miss the old girl.
Never heard WLA????Tell me about her...

If you have to ID yourself..?Is it like somebody suggested here,to make this minipassport in plastic, and is driverlicense from EU sufficient.Would be nice to keep valuabels in safetybox...
If the copper wants to be stubborn and by the book, neither will suffice and you're liable to a fine, in my own experience. Get a Thai drivers licence if you have an 'O' or 'B' visa.
OK,,I have three visas( two old), there is nothing with textual comentary with O or B,just tourist, what does O and B stands for?And when I`m at it,how do you get a Thai driverlicense?

The general term for any jail is monkyhouse. These will usually be large holding cells with every sort of prisoner so it would not be a desired accommodation.
From Immigration Division 3 Web Board:
OK!!!!Now I understand, all jails are monkeyhouses, well I sure can imagine! It is my third time in Thailand, but this I did not know..!
Thank`s for the pic..M..

A visa to cross to Cambodia costs $25 or Laos $50, (not so sure on the fee for Laos).
Crossing to Malaysia does not require a visa.
This may influence your choice if you decide to do a border run.
The Immigration Detention Centre has a pretty bad reputation, just in case you were thinking of overstaying your visa!!
Ok,thank`s.Do you know how it is on the border to Malaysia, maybe better to stay out of this part? And how about Burma?,I`m in the area around there.

You seems to know it all Lopburi3,
I thank you for your information! Now maybe you know something about this monkeycages?I heard that this is a place you don`t want to end up in.Just want to know how bad it is so I can get my ass to the border and not just think that everything will be OK. M...

You say you have a visa for two months so you must have a tourist visa and have been given a normal 60 day stay. Just show up at any immigration office with 1,900 baht and a couple of photos to fill out a TM.7 form to extend your stay 30 days. That will give you the full 90 days without having to cross any border.
If you plan travel just do so and save the 1,900 baht and obtain a free 30 day entry on your return if it fits you plans better.
Thank`s,
How long time for a new visa if I cross the border?and also wich country do you recommend?Sure I have plans, but I can change them to get this in the easiest way.I heard something about monkeycage, not a nice place? And I want also return to this beautiful country,so in one way or the other I have to extend my visa.
I really appreciate your help Lopburi!!! M.
