I see this all the time too.
What a miserable bunch most farangs are.
I usually give a friendly and polite hello, but rarely get one back.
Thai's will always give a smile and reply, but usually in Thai lol.

I think the main problem is lack of testing.
When students are passed for exams regardless of performance, nothing will change.

How do you get a "monk identification card?" Has anyone ever seen one?
You become a monk and apply for it like I did..
I was a Theravada monk for 15 months.

I am confused why they give the extremes of the exam results, but not the average, which would give much more information of the results. The highest and lowest scores are insignificant indications of the results.
Anyway, poor indication of the Education system, not the teachers.

Why can't I see George's original post at 8.32am?

Fans are sometime used in microwave ovens to distribute the microwaves. If it says"fan forced" it could be a combined microwave/convection oven.
The rating plate should say how many watts if it also has a convection function. You could use recipes for normal and microwave ovens if this is the case.

I loved her performance and cried as I felt for her.
Good luck to her.
One-way fire escapes. Can it be legal?

If the building is properly designed with fire safety in mind, the fire rated emergency exit doors will only allow exit from that floor to a stairwell, by pushing the safety bar on the inside.
This is to contain the fire on that floor.
The stairwell should be designed with positive ventilation air pressure so smoke from any likely fire will not enter the stairwell.
There also may be other fire rated doors that are held open electrically but close in a fire situation to contain a fire, but can still be opened temporarily in either direction.
Of course it depends on the design of the building, maintenance and if anybody has bypassed the safety devices.
