Sad to hear that; only problems we've ever had in Chiang Mai were to do with the old overcrowded Imm' Office but Big Joke has now sorted that out and things are easiest they've ever been.
Sustainable outcome?

I submitted a TM30 prior to my renewal since I had been in Lao since my last TM30.
It was 28 days late. No mention of a fine. The officer seemed puzzled that I wanted to submit it. The officer reviewing my extension never looked at it.
Oh my my how the IO standards dont exist. In Chiang Mai they love TM 30s and love fining people the instant they breach times for reporting. All I can say is thank the man above this mob dont run an airline.

Why is it they can be timely if they have to be? Is it a game they play with expats?

wouldnt be nice if they wrote it down as a policy and displayed it in all IO throughout Thailand so there is one rule?

This is all good, but what about the meaningless 90 day reports?
Add to that TM 30 reports already covered at airport entry

Expedited services. Think outside the box. Some farang pay visa companies to represent them, Do you think their agent has time to wait in a queue?

As an awareness they should post the new rules on every Thai embassy website, tourist websites so no one can say they didnt know. Post them clearly in many languages at all points of inward immigration for the non technocrats.

Recently used OCPB, in conjunction with RTP to seek a refund from a scam competitor TV company in Bangkok not True Visions. All the experts told me forget your money its gone, many had been scammed but too lazy to do anything other than bitch to fellow farangs. Both Government departments were polite and efficient. As soon as the guilty party received the prosecution report from RTP the money was back in my bank within 24 hours.
Message in my story we never compliment was meets or exceeds our expectations just remember the bad times.

Wouldnt it be nice for everyone if there was just one script for all Immigration offices to follow. And any changes could only be processed if the big boss signed off on it and made sure every Immigration office had the changes and followed them. The script would be available in the common foreign languages to Thailand on their website and the entrance to any Immigration office. Life would be more pleasant.

Is it possible to list companies ( I live in Chiang Mai) who love to sell farang items in large stores. But as soon as there is a problem with the item being faulty they dont care. You cannot even get to talk to the managers who are always unavailable for complaints but if you are buying then they are available. I would suggest the list would be a buyer beware so farang doesnt lose money and time with poor service?
TM 30 adviced wanted...and isn't this report ott in my case?
