  1. Dear OP, you will be forever under the parents' thumb if you keep giving in to them. Unless your finance ran dry then you will end up in the streets with nothing. There are countless cases in Thailand. Hope you will not end up like that. From your posts, it seems that your gf is not someone you can rely on as she is on the family's side. Your suitcases and bags are everywhere in the house and its difficult to pack them and leave. In the worst scenario, you just need to round up your passport, all important document, your bank books, atm cards, all your valuables (and dog) and your handphone and leave. You can easily replenish your belongings later but your freedom and life is priceless. There's a will there's a way.

  2. I would suggest bringing your kid to Singapore to treat. Personally I trust the doctors in Singapore than in Thailand, especially when anything associated with kids, rather be safe than sorry.

KK Children hospital Singapore, specialising in children.

Hope your kid will be ok asap.

  3. You didn't really specify a "time" for breakfast. If early morning (6 am to 11 am) you can try Maya Shopping Mall at Rimping. They serve a western style breakfast with Tea or Coffee for only 59 baht. I've tried it twice and it's good but the seating area is somewhat limited when crowded.

Yes I have been there. Quite nice and decent:) But no soft boiled eggs.
  4. I also recommend Jok Somphet. Really, everything on the menu is very good and portions are very large. The baked chicken, baked fish, moo Hinlay, kow phad talay, joke are all some of the best. Actually I think it's the only place that sells plaa op (baked fish).

24 hours. Always full of Thais and foreigners.......and now Chinese...

Looks like Jok Somphet is a popular choice:) Mac and Burger king will be a safety net in case I can't find Jok Somphet.
  5. Hi people in CM:)

Does anyone know where to find food and tea after midnight in CM city? What about coffeehouse in hotels? Are they open 24 hours? In case of sleepless nights...

Also I need recommendation for simple breakfast. Food served: soft boiled eggs, toast and tea. Where can I find them in the city?

    Thank you.
  6. Have you tried Baan Twaey? Not sure of the spelling, but it's not really a tourist place. Buyers from around the world buy from there for their stores. All kinds of wood items from furniture to statues. Furniture manufacturer s are there also.

Ban Tawai... that's the best advice anybody could give you, Choonpon. Go for it!
Ban tawai are the outlets, the real craftsmen and ladies are in san patong, try the yuwa wood carving villages.

On my regular jaunts out that way there is man carving a 3m long elephant from what appears to be teak. He has been at it for three weeks and now looking incredible.

Would you please direct me how to go there? I'm staying at the night market. Thank you.
