1) Red song thawes are not taxis. Generally red song thaews are not on fixed routes. Disregard other farangs claim to be experts on song thawes current price. You should pay 20 baht all the way otherwise tell the driver to complain to the police.

2) There are the yellow and blue Taxi, real taxi. Use the Taxi Call Center phone number. Can not operate in the Airport area or Wing 41 airbase.

3) Airport taxi, will pick you up anywhere and are permitted to enter Wing 41 airbase.

4) Tuk tuks taxi

40 mins just to contact someone in the complex? For someone with medical history, they would be long gone:(

I have a relative who has been bedridden for at least 20years. Started with stroke, was able to move around with a walking stick and assistance for a couple years. Got pneumonia and other complications and since then bedridden. Nil by mouth with milk fed through a tiny whole in the stomach. He's in agony mentally and physically. Luckily the family is well off and able to hire proper care and medical. To see a loved one slowing fading away day by day, month by month, year by year without a clue which day is today...its really heart wrenching.

Street festivals with local concerts sound interesting! If there's no more road blocks and traffic is back to normal, I'm coming back!

Hope the curfew in bkk can be eased from 1am-4am at least.
