  1. The UK government website says that after you apply for renewing your passport, your old/existing passport cannot be used for travel (but how would local authorities know unless the passport office somehow marks the passport?). Does this include domestic flights within Thailand? Does it include flight returning to the UK (from Thailand)? - for example in the case of an emergency before the new passport is ready. Anyone have any recent news of how long a renewal takes when using the VFS office in Chiang Mai?
  2. False, I have two pages left. There are other reasons why I would prefer to delay renewing my passport if possible.
  3. Oh that's interesting. I heard the "under consideration" stamp is a bit larger than half a page, but if the sticker fits on the same page then that's much better.
  4. For sure I know about renewing my passport, but the point is I cannot be sure if I will receive the new one in time. Therefore, I would like to have a backup solution of how to extend without needing two blank pages.
  5. As I understand it, some immigration offices (for example, Chiang Mai I believe) give a 14-day "under consideration" stamp when applying for a covid extension. Only when you go back a couple of weeks later will you get the full page sticker. So which immigration offices just give the sticker straight away? Running very low on blank passport pages. Note: I arrived on visa exemption and already have my one month extension.
  6. They fixed the Janssen issue about 24 hours after launch. Now, when you select Janssen, the Dose 2 block is hidden, as it should be.
  7. Anyone know if this website is legit: https://www.asqbooking.com/ ? When you go through the booking process, they send you an email giving the hotel bank account details to pay directly. Which is better than paying a middleman (assuming bank details are legit). I also tried contacting the hotel directly, but no reply.
  8. I was thinking whatever length of stay you put, you'll need to provide insurance that covers that duration. Therefore, you want to put as short a stay as you might actually do, and then just add on extra insurance coverage as and when it is necessary.
  9. What's the deal with "length of stay">? If you put a short duration (e.g. 7 days) and arrive on a visa exemption would that prevent you from staying longer in any way (or perhaps extension opportunities) should you change your plans?
  10. Many people have had their first Janssen dose recently. Yes, some people might have had a booster dose. But some might not. For those people, it doesn't work. I'm wary of adding a false second dose date in case it causes problems down the line.
  11. Not working for Janssen vaccine because still need to add second dose, and it won't accept duplicating data of first dose.
