My son is Thai and i am named on the Birth Certificate as the Father but i'm not married, I have not done the legitimization as i have never had the need to. I did use the Birth Certificate a few years ago for a 60 day extension with no problem, is this a rule that i now need to legitimize my son?.

Hi, I am currently on the retirement extension which expires in April 2019, i do not have sufficient funds at this time to renew, i do have 400,000 for the dependency visa through my 17-year-old son.

Can i change from the retirement visa to the dependant visa in the Immigration office or do i need to leave and get a 3 Month Non O from an Embassy?.

Whichever it is what documents would i require?.

I have a 30 day visa exempt can i get another 30 day's at immigration for 1900 Bht and then apply for the 2 month extension for visiting family?is this allowed?

I had a 30 day voa then extended for 60 days with the visiting family route.

Can i or can't i now exit the Country at a land border and return the same day for a further 30 day voa and will they then let me extend for another 60 days at Jomtien

I need to be out by the 25th August so do i need to be planning something else??

first time ive tried for non o visa here,went to the embassy and sat outside with the agent filled in relevant forms handed over required documents plus 5000bht for multiple non o[or so i thought] passport to be returned to my hotel next day at 130pm.bang on time,gave me my passport with a single non o cost of said visa 2000bht,cost of service to my amusement 3000bht,when i mentioned that i thought 3 grand was a little excessive for there very efficent service the 3 yes 3 agents were very upset and said if i did not like their service i could have my money back but unfortunatly they would have to take my passport back and cancel my visa,i was tempted by their generous offer but as it was the weekend i had to refuse it,several threatening words passed between us over the next 10 minutes before we agreed that 1500bht would be returned to me,i did stress the fact that 1500bht was still a bit stiff but to no effect,on reflection i should have just gone into the embassy myself but for some reason thought it easier to use these guys.i wont be making the same mistake again and hopefully no will anyone else.be carefull!

after spending 15 years living in los i am now in the unfortunate position of having to go back to the uk and work again, at 50 not a very appealing thought but it has to be done.to all you people thinking of throwing in the towel and living in los because your bored with life at home,work at home or just want a change my answer is go for it,the grass is definatly the greenest iv,e ever seen.if its retirement make sure you have the money,if its work make sure you have the right frame of mind and above all make sure you have a bucket full of patience and a very good sense of humour if your missing any of the above spend your middlescent where you are you will grow out of it eventually.as for me well iv,e had a great 15 years and i will definatly be back after i get through this late life crisis!!!
