  1. For a Singaporean to get married in Thailand is very difficult... There is alot of paper work,Alot of Question you have to go up and down the ROM in Singapore...

They will conduct an interiew for both of you...and they will give you letter of approval for you to hand it over to the thai authorities

But in some cases alot of singaporean men get married inThailand without going to all this process then they are not reconised in Singapore they will also be getting a very heavy fine including jail terms...

This is what i read from the singapore straits times

Ok, thanks to all the comments stated by everyone. I am on the process of the marriage part. The only part I am interested in is the salary i can expect if I am to work in Thailand. :o

The topic is going off. :D

  2. Oleg_Rus, I understand the situation you have told me. But with some personal problem, I cannot bring my gf to Sing. I have already disscused this with my gf, if the pay is all right to support my gf n our children, I will settle down in Thailand. Sounds silly but this is the power of LOVE. :D

But if there is no choice, I think I will have to work in Singapore. :o

Anyway, thanks for your kind advice. :D

  4. Come on a tourist visa whilst you are job hunting.

That will give your 2 month (60 days) and can be extended for an additional 30 days.

To land a job here you have to show that you have skills/experience that cannot be found in the local market,

    much the same as Singapore.

I hope you can meet those criteria.

A good grasp of Thai language will also be a valuable attribute.

    Thanks astral for your advice.

I keep in mind of that. Thanks. :o

  5. Sa Wa Dee Krub,

I am planning to find a engineering job in Thailand. In term of visa, I am not sure which visa to apply if I am searching a job there. Is it true that i can only apply for a tourist visa or is there any visa i can obtain? :o

For the work permit wise, is it the company's responsiblity to apply for me or i have to apply for my own? :D

    Here my particulars:

    Born in Singapore

    28 years old
