Does anyone know a place to rent a scooter near the pier?

Blumental is a very famous chef and has done important things, marco pierre as well. But I dont know any important chef from the US. They only eat burgers and fast food. Thats why americans are so fat.

About the best I've seen for Nike/Adidas (at least for new arrivals, expensive) is Supersports in Robinsons, floor 3, under B2S stationary. They also have cheaper olds in there. At the opposite end of the mall (northwest corner, by the lifts) is a legit Adidas shop, floor 2 or 3.

I just felt sorry for most people in the Phillipines. They all seemed to want to leave. One thing about Thais is that most of them are perfectly happy to stay in their own country.

You dont have to feel sorry about anybody, the filipinos see the money others take to Filipinas and want to do that because is a poor country. People in Thailand is very happy, thats why Thailand doesnt have prostitution, scammers, etc but the Thai goverment is very clever and hide many things. EDUCATION is the word.

Mexicans eat pork-skins, never seen one eating nachos. Chucharones. Poor people get flour tortillas, the upper class get corn.

Never seen a bowl of red chili there, either (check new mexico for that!),,,,,and as stated before, they never put cheese on tacos.

Here's a taco stand menu in Mexico.......12 Pesos = 1 USD. I've always said, that they are more like the thais than either one of them would admit.

well you are right! Real mexican people they eat rice, frijoles and carne asada(if they can).

Also depends on the area of mexico, now the things are changing and more and more can afford different kinds of food, like good fish or chuleta(porterhouse).
