GRR this forum doesnt have edit
Just got my latest 3 phone bill, and for some reason the calls to the telesavers number are now excluded - will have to look into that.
DON't USE 3 for this anymore

I was looking for free SMS for so long and never found any - in the end I gave up and settled for cheaper than my mobile phone network (ORANGE-UK).
I stumbled upon this site - http://www.wayn.com - it is not a dedicated sms site, but it is one of the services it offers - you get 5 free credits when you sign up, and after that the credits are quite reasonable, and the best thing is you make the SMS look like it came from your phone.
Never had an issue with this service - send messages to 5 TG's with this

A bit confused about the memery its only 32mb in the 6230 and have a 512 mb in camera digital can this be changed over from camera to phone.?
Assuming it is the same type of memory
Just got a 6230 myself in the UK. And can get a 512Mb Memory card for £33 delivered - so will be upgrading really soon. Handy for those little spur of the moment videos one wants to make

Yeah, it does seem like it is lacking a little compared to the other bar sites. I just don't know if it would be wise to offer a helping hand or not; because I am a little bit of a perfectionist, often confused with procrastination... if a project I'm working on doesn't seem to be going in the direction I originally planned, I usually scap everything and start over. I've made so many freakin' unfinished websites that it's not even funny.
No idea what your skill level is but from everything pete has done and is doing, i really dont think he needs much help.
He runs a very popular forum, maintains 2-3 websites, and also until recently had a photo hosting site - he still does but it is closed to new registrations.
Me being a proffesional in the industry, have offered help many times, but understandably - it is his baby and he likes to do it all himself.
He also does some decent video editing of parties etc...
Trust me Pete knows what he is doing and now he has semi-retired I would not be surprised if he gets a lot more things going

to be honest I would only ever buy a DELL laptop now
Best spec and decent prices - not sure if you can get one of those in Thailand though.
But never hurts to try

OK - All Visa/Mastercards work fine
If however you plan on withdrawing from an ATM - and you live in the UK then open a flex account with the nationwode, and ask for a cash card only.
This allows you to put sterling in the account and withdraw it anywhere on the globe in any ATM free of charge by NATIONWIDE, and 90% of the time free from charges at the ATM as well.
Has worked for me in all the time I have been travelling, never leave home without it. Beats carrying a credit card to get nicked, and I always take travellers cheques as an emergency backup.

Ben is "hands off" the website.
That was and still will be maintained by peter - the ex owner. The bar changed ownership in December from what I gather.
Had a chat with Pete and he plans to dedicate more time to the web side of things now

Well you must know, you were in there - lol.
It is actually quite a good place - years ahead of its time, I can a lot more places in PTY taking up this format in the future.
You fell in love - well get her out of the bar fast so she wont need to keep going with customers
-
this is just petty
I mean I always pay 10BHT for me and the same for the gilr I am with at the time, 20BHT to get almost anywhere - not a bad deal, and when worked out it really isnt a great deal.
That said, at the minute it seems if you want to get anywhere fast the only option is motorbike taxi. 40BHT from soi2 to walking street and a lot faster than the bahtbusses.
I took the motorbike taxi at the same time my mate got on a baht bus - I was waiting 15 minutes for him in a bar on walking street
LOL

The AMORN beer bar on soi 8 has a room available. 500BHT a night, very guest friendly as it is above a bar.
Normally available - great for walk ins, used it myself for 1 night when I had issues with one of the other girls i was with.
Nice room, has a 3 piece suite, doubel bed - aircon, cable TV, refrigerator, and electronic safe.
Always worth a try

i have been looking for a room and have managed to get one at the sky top hotel.
has anyone stayed here and do they know if it is okay.
i.e. clean, safe and guest friendly
cheers
Not stayed there personally, but a friend did - said the rooms were clean, tidy. Staff is good.
Sky - bit cheaper than the marriot, but when all you do is sleep there and maybe the occasional gymnastics then it will be more than sufficient for your needs.
Don't think it has a pool though, but could be wrong?

if this is for the auction of the new houses in jomtien, on the 15th, I too assumed they were built,
Thought though that the idea of a no reserve, no minumim bid was a bit silly unless they are all spectacular villas and then people would naturally bid high mmmm
Oh well, guess we will see

oh that pattaya people TV show needs to be banned or something
3 days running the same crap - only good bit was about timeout ice cream on walking street - the sexy owner, and actually tried the stuff, it is pretty good.
But didnt need to hear about the rotary club 6 days running whilst I was there.
######, just get some decent programming,

does anyone have any idea where i can get a room everywhere seems fully booked
When I get a hotel, I love to stay at the Marriott, It's right next to the mall and not too far of a walk north of Walking Street. It's a bit spendy though, expect to pay about 3500 Baht a night and probably at least double that for Christmass and New Years. I've found the best prices on the Marriott website itself. Just type in Pattaya on the search window on the front page. They have absoluetly no problems whatsoever with guests, and the security staff is freakin' awesome. I like the Deluxe Garden Terrace Rooms do to the ease of exit and entry with guests. I just use the side entrace to the Garden next to the Pizza Hut and the Mall.
Better yet, just click on this link:
https://marriott.com/property/propertyPage....arshaCode=PYXMC
All prices on the site are quoted in USD.
Stay in the marriot - are you a fool.
If you want a good cheap hotel this late in the day then try either of the following
Sabai Inn - Soi 2 - guest friendly, great staff, and about 900BHT a night
Sunshine Vista Serviced Apartments - Soi 3, also guest friendly with excellent staff, may pay around 1500BHT a night in high season
Try the following site for other hotels in and around Pattaya, very reliable and always use them - http://www.res24.org

I remember that one dave.
Its a good one, and very true - somehow I think it is lost on many people who havent seen Only Fools and Horses, like many of the guys from the USA - but its not their fault.
