I live in Pattaya and go out once or twice a week and have the odd bar girls company, £10000 is my average spend for 6 months. Sometimes I can save a bit.

Always a lot happening in Phattaya. Not quite sure what a "ride outs" is. Can you explain further?
its where a group of bikers meet (in pattaya) and "ride out" into the country and stop off for a bite to eat and a chat, before returning back.....simples....
So, it is actually a "ride out/stop eat/ride back". We sometimes do a "ride out/stop eat drink pee drink more pee more sleep eat more/ride back" -- one planned for Khao Yai in the next few weeks. Kanchanaburi is also a favorite destination. The bikes are, however, well under 500cc.
I would be interested in one of these but I only have a PCX150

Almost all will require this as that is what determines where you are allowed to apply.
Was not asked for any proof of address when I did my latest retirement extension at Maptaput last July. And, in previous years, the wife's blue house book has sufficed for this purpose - we haven't even been asked for our marriage certificate for dot-joining purposes!
Bit of a poor do IMHO, though, that you have to return to Jomtien the next day for your stamped passport - particularly as this flies in the face of the legal requirement for us farangs to have our passports on us at all times. Mercifully Maptaput have always, to date, stamped my passport there and then without the need for any further visit.
Immigration give you a laminated card to come back with next day, if you are asked for your passport for any reason you just show the card from immigration.

King Power would rather lose money than let another operator get a foot in the door with cheaper prices.
I have just bought a Nikon camera in Pattaya with memory cards for 28000 baht I asked the price at King Power at Suvarnabhumi and was quoted the same price and that was Duty Free. Amazing Thailand.
