Hard to say anything that is not repetitive of others.... I went through four police checkpoints in a distance of 20 kilometres in Surin Province on Saturday night.... waved through the first, licence checked at the second [Policeman surprised I had a Thai licence!!] waved through third and fourth.... You would have thought I would have been breath tested (and maybe failed) at least at one of the checkpoints....
Then Sunday from Surin to Chonburi via Bangkok I passed so many checkpoints that I lost count.... only one was manned by Policemen on the carriageway and we were all waved through 'cos they already had too many stopped for the capacity of the tea money collectors!!!
Hardly an effective measure for compliance, but nevertheless a highly visible reminder to wear seat belt, and obey traffic regulations.....

The second floor features Starbucks Reserve Experience Bar, allowing customers to have Starbucks Experiences and indulge in the finest and rarest coffee beans from every corner of the world,
Starbucks' coffee is sub-standard.... dishwater at best..... have not been in their for 20 years or more because there is better coffee on sale elsewhere. Coffee I make at home with mail order beans from Bangkok tastes 120% better!!!

Hard to find out what is a "slash thief"... Google Look Up function returns no results... seems to be a term used with some computer games. Supposedly it is one who cuts open the bag to remove contents inside of it..... ???
(Initially I thought it vernacular for one who stole the piss!!!)

I assume FET = Foreign Exchange Transaction Form..... which I have never shown at time of purchase of any of my 5 condominiums (or should that be condominia?)
I understood that money sent in to Thailand by a foreign entity could be returned, so why can the money not be returned to the Original Remitter, the Trust Fund, and then transferred to an account in the name of the purchaser in US before being re-remitted to Thailand??

Since they are tobacco free, e-cigs are currently unregulated in the United States but that may change. Already cities like Boston, Chicago,New York, and most recently Los Angeles have restricted their use. And Utah, New Jersey and North Dakota have banned their usewherever smoking is prohibited. Other states and localities including Minnesota and Oregon are considering restrictions as well.

police had tracked down the owner of a motorcycle used in the robbery, who told police that Meechai had borrowed his motorcycle
3 hours ago, webfact said:police escorted Meechai to his house where clothes and a cap allegedly used in the robbery were found.
If a policeman cannot stage a robbery with little/no evidence then he is surely not much of a policeman.... he knows the system so why leave a clear evidence trail??? Deserves all that he gets in my humble opinion.....

Lucky that it was not one of those wooden frame and plywood buses that ply Thai highways!!!

.... meanwhile, Grandson Red Bull......disrespects the whole Thai system....!!!

I'm just thinking on the system of cleaning the system and sterilising the pipes tubes etc.
Draught beer systems need a lot of looking after to keep things clean etc.
Ummmm small thinking..... vending machines would usually be prepackaged, read cans!!!

The further you are from the ocean, the hotter in the daytime and the colder at nighttime.... as one poster already pointed out Loie, your location mentioned in your article, can be very hot in daytime and very very cold (body feel) at nighttime..... temperate climate is available closer to the seaboard.......

Good luck..... In my birth country there are Thai Communities in the major cities, each of which provide Thai language and culture classes for Thai children..... check with the Royal Thai Embassy in your country as this might be a safer option....!!!???

I had a letter, in Thai, from Citibank to confirm my deposit [dated Friday and I was at Immigration on Monday], but Chaeng Wattana made me go to ATM, withdraw 500 baht using my ATM Card, and give Immigration the slip showing the remaining balance etc etc.......

It would not cost one single baht more if the BIBs would carry out their duties instead of sitting in their air conditioned booths playing with their mobiles.
Are you sure that it is their mobiles that they play with??

Is December 5th really still a public holiday?
As far as I remember the birthday of his majesty, the late King, is no public holiday any longer and July 28th, the birthday of his majesty King Vairalonkorn, has been installed as a public holiday instead.
Yes, December 5th is Fathers' Day
