Too little, too late.
Lots of ways to stop it before it happens. But just let it be impossible to live first.
Forbid the sale of mushrooms (hed thob) and jail culprits with quick justice, no court case needed, set up rapid response teams.

Ok. Got home with no problems. When in lower provinces they checked us because of our northern license plate. Upper provinces it was the other way around. Just explain and be cool.

TV always judgmental. As far as I noticed travel no problem. Logical questions and proper reasoning sometimes a fever check.

Well, gonna leave soon. If I have time will let you know what happened. I must get home. The person taking care of my pets needs to get back too. So no choice really. If there was a choice I wouldn't have asked. All in all still no straight answer. I need to know if it is necessary if you're allowed to move during curfew.

Anybody travelling around, anywhere is just being totally irresponsible.
One man went to the boxing in lumpini, travelled to Khonkaen, took the virus with him.
Stay where you are.
So...I need to get home. Or will someone pay hotel bills for me until then? I am a resident of the place where I need to go. Not traveling for fun.

The problem is mixed messages coming out daily from province governors, and other unknown people. I think there are checkpoints at provinces and restrictions of travel to different provinces. This weekend you are meant to stay at home by request of that Commander.
We need clear communication
Yes, and that's exactly what I'm trying to do: get home! I am a resident and was far away when the lockdown happened. I need to get back. Unless Prayuth pays my hotel fees. ????????

and of course, good luck.

You are only asking for trouble if you decide to travel around at this time.
It is a trip home. I am a resident. Can hardly stay in a hotel for 2 months and have pets waiting.

No, there is a contract that my wife owns 25% of the company for the 400k Baht. Not only a hand shake.
The company is still alive. But she made her money without involving the company as an insurance agent. But our invested money was used to buy furniture and so on to bring the insurance selling to life.
I think the contract is waterproof and the company is still existing. The 75% owner is making her money without involving the company.
Yes, I (better: my wife) got 25% of the company but, as written above, now she earns her money without involving the company.
Yes, my wife has.
I guess I named it wrong. I (my wife) invested 25% in the company, but the 75% owner makes her money now without involving the company. See my comment above.
Ok so she's making money without involving the original company you say...
Then I'd definitely move on. The single and only thing would be to offer your friend a way out by paying a smaller one off sum but if that doesn't work move on. It's life and a lesson. Wish you the best.
-
Main question is: is the contract waterproof and also personal? Are they still under the same company name?
If it's an investment and the original company has gone under. There's no way to get any back. In fact, in that case you might even be liable for owed debts.
If it's still under the same company name, and they're making money you might have a slim chance but it will cost money and time to get it back.

You don't have to be married to get a yellow house book. You only need your partners permission to get it based upon hers.
Every Amphoe can have different requirements. I suggest you check with them as to what is required to get it.
Ubon Joe...Any idea where in the law it says it's not a requirement to be married?

Ok. So in Chiang mai Chinese business means own resorts, own bus companies and own guides. Pray tell me, how Thais will benefit?

Not sure, would like advice. Been here for donkeys years but now on a caretaker parent Visa. The way I read into it only Non O-A visas need insurance. Am I correct?

In a 2003 reply to the UN the permanent seat of Thailand to the UN clearly states that any and ALL kind of discrimination are prohibited by the constitution, it even clearly mentions the parts of the constitution where it says such even when you show up with Thai driver's license AND tax clearance, they refuse to charge normal rates at all national parks. Previously the attitude was that foreigners do not pay taxes, well I DO, so it's based on race only. They should've long been taken to the cleaners over this. The fact that they, themselves say it's in the constitution makes it illegal.
-
Question remains how did they get IN in the first place? The scrutiny I get as a caretaker father must be more than what these individuals have seen. Privilege visa....haaa!

Like someone here said: some very bitter, sarcastic people on here with too much time on their hands. Wish anyone who makes an honest living to support their family all the best.

More and more disappointed. Especially with the level of TV members. Isn't it horrific enough, this ordeal? If it was "just an insurance scam" why go through the shame of proving to have been raped? And I don't give a rats ass if it was two men or whatever. Two HUMAN BEINGS were assaulted, drugged, raped and robbed. Where's the empathy?
-
It would probably be asking too much to see this in a positive light for the Thai visa members; maybe NOW some Thais will see the positive side of having a (alive) farang son in law: treasure them!

I would think Nim See Saeng is the biggest loan shark. We're talking billions here. They have investments in houses, transport, construction, storages, factories etc. Charge ridiculous rates but are probably SO connected there will be no raid there. This was a small fish compared to Nim See Saeng.

One, amongst many, reasons why Dhammakaya is not seen as Buddhist. They lure people into all sorts of donations for enrichment of this sect. Any proper temple will tell you that any form of merit, towards the poor and needy is at least as good, if not better, than just the beautification of temple grounds.

Lots of people here in Chiang mai build houses that are earth quake resistant. The mae chan line runs just outside Sankhampaeng district. For the town of Chiang mai about 50 ks away. Further down it runs nearly straight through Lamphun. I live about 80 k from Sankhampaeng and have an earthquake resistant house. By the way: in the Mae Khong delta is the Tha Khaek fault, capable of the same destructive quakes. In countries like these one should always be prepared. Better safe than sorry.
I understand the extension until 31 july but what about my Visa validity?
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits

I understand that ultimately no one needs a Visa extension right now until 31st of July. As I have a one year non o multiple entry I would like to know for sure this has no effect on this Visa status? And it truly means I don't have to do anything until then? It feels weird after 30 odd years of compliance. ????
