  1. The whole Southern insurgency thing is complex and beyond meaningfull, superficial commentary here, but use of it for making silly little political points in the above article is noted. Everything from shouting out in bold heading the 'fugitive' terminology, hoping to project felonious innuendo onto a political adversary, and using 1/3 of the article to reverentially quote a political leader with truly culpable baggage that would be congruent with the 'fugitive' moniker, demonstrates subtle intent perhaps not noticeable to many.

Fact - He is indeed a known fugitive from the Thai Justice System

Fact - He is a known liar

    What else need be said?

Only that he has been comfort-eating a lot over the last 4 years.

You don't expect him to be eating fish and rice do you?

My belief is that he will ultimately eat humble-pie & wash it down with a tall glass of karma-cola.

  3. "Now I see why they call you the 'head' nurse!" :)

I think few & carefully selected partners / monogamy & regular STD tests are the way to go, if only for a relatively simple life. Thats as a general personal philosophy.

Regarding Thailand figures for STD, I treat them the same way I treat all statistics I'm shown here, with scepticism. This country & the rest of SEA has a prostitution industry which differs on a fundamental level from the West, in that a lot of the girls here started out very poor and work to buy food for their families back home. In the UK many streetwalkers started out in comfortable homes, and became drug addicts & the prostitution was just the quickest way to pay for the over-priced junk. This is a generalisation of course, but from what I've seen in interviews on TV, a lot of these girls in SEA send money back home that they earn on the streets, and they started out of poverty not addiction.

  4. I personally have no problem with transparency.

Regarding 'fear of islam' and the practicers of it, many pakistani muslim family's in the UK are multi-generational descendants of very hard working great-grandparents who came to the UK and worked in the Northern Mills, doing hard labour that even back then was considered undesireable. By all told, they were hard-working and decent people whose religion was not a placard-brandishing affair.

The fact that their grand-children act like arrogant spoilt brats is no different from native Christian white kids today in the UK who also languish on state beneifts and subscribe to drugs, binge-drinking and brawling, which are acts of terror in the sense that they can terrify normal people on the streets of the UK, and can lead to permanent injury. In the UK you are more likely to die from being hit by a drunk-driver than a jihadi bomb.

Regarding the Bill specifically, I would guess that a lot of establishment figures are sweating profusely, in the clergy & Lords and parliament, as we might soon find out if the stories of organised paedophile-rings within the Church and the Lords are true. The website-logging will bring down a lot of cyber-perverts too, including those in high office, which is a good thing.

  5. It is always better to back down from confrontation in all situations. Unless you are fighting for your life. Unlikely either person here was targeted by the other, and both should have backed down. They didn't and it is very sad.

When I first was leaving to visit Thailand, I was told to avoid making "loud noises and sudden movements", as these are considered impolite and indeed uncivilised. While I'm sure these words applied much more in the traditional setting, I think they are good words, & to avoid conflict is desireable.

  6. Thankyou for your reply. :)

I have primary progressive MS, sometimes wheelchair, increasingly wheelchair over the next decade I've been told.

I was told a year ago, as strong equatorial sunshine is medically recognized as therapeutic for late stage MS, this was a valid health concern for a Non-O type visa 'health' group. I am also registered in Bangkok hospital and have brain scans & buy medicines here etc. I also own a condo here.

I am reluctant to telephone Hull from Thailand, because of the expense, I will probably wait till I return to UK in early May & see what they say. I hope they issue me with more non-O visas ; Thai peoples' friendly welcome and the sunshine have improved aspects of my health greatly in a surprisingly short time.

  7. Hi, I am currently 11.5 months into my Non-O Visa, which I obtained from Royal Consulate in Hull (UK).

I am wanting to return to the UK & obtain another of this same type of multi entry O class visa again. Is there a cool-down period when I cannot obtain this same visa again, or can I apply at Hull as soon as the visa expires.

Also is there a limit to how many Non-0 multi entry visas a person can obtain succesively? I am 40 and can (presumeably) apply for retirement class visa in 10 years, so I was thinking of doing 10 annual trips to Hull for 10 multi entry Non-O visas, and of course my border trips to Cambodia every 3rd month too.

I did ask this at the Visa office in Hull a year ago but they were very busy and the reply seemed a bit sketchy.

My passport is Swedish but my home residence is the UK. Age 40. I am staying in Thailand for my Multiple Sclerosis (sunshine) & to see my Thai friends from University. I also want to retire here.

Thankyou in advance if you can answer these two questions.
