loads of people in pattaya are staying here on dodgy visa`s, I went to jontiem immigration about 1 yr ago and was offered at the desk by the guy a retirement visa for 20,000 bht not quietly or nothing just straight out in front of everyone, they must be making a fortune these people, I don't know how it goes on it`s all on computer so how come it doesn't flag up, and when doing it how can they pay 800,000 bht into your bank and draw it straight out, this gotta be <deleted>, but it still carries on day after day as usual in Thailand, and nowt gets done,lol, t.i.t

just made me think about this, I have 90 days now before renewing my retirement visa, and have a gsb bank account with more than the necessary in, but it has been in for a few months as a fixed 3.25%, I don't touch it obviously , but the date I put money in is over six months ago, so do I need to update this book as although it shows more than enough if it isn't updated it wouldn't show any withdrawals, or will the letter from bank just rectify this, because before I had a few accounts with money in and they wouldn't take these into account it all had to be in one account, I had loads in a mutual fund and they said that`s not money just numbers the cheeky gets, well I said you wouldn't mind those numbers in your account, he soon shut up,lol

well not much help on the hotel side, but I just stayed a week in Bangkok and just outside and never saw any protests, only by luck mind,lol and I did my first visit to khao san rd and weren't that impressed at all, went to a few shopping malls, chatuchat market, which I recommend highly, on the river and stuff, but I also found it quite easy to move about, moreso than the times I have stayed before, and I never got ripped off in the taxi`s,tuk tuk`s, or at all , was a real enjoyable time, and I will be back more often. never really got a great vibe from it before but this time totally good, I stayed soi 2 for a bit majestic grande, very nice but I never looked about for others
