Aphibarnrat is a real favorite as he is way outside the norms of age/size compared to others of like ability. Also he changed his name to a more 'auspicious' one. See Wikipedia as i cannot spell the former name.

Jaidee is a long time golfer and former Thai soldier who has made a very good living on the world golf scene.

If either could win this tourney...fabulous money in the bank and upstature for all golf in T'land.

I'm new. Where is LOS?

Who knows the rules about carrying USA dollars in T'land? Specifically, i want to know about carrying the US30K needed to open the Bt 800K bank account. Any problems at the border? Or does anyone know about wire transfers into the Bangkok Bank from USA?

Thinking about retirement visa in T'land and esp the $$ aspect.I could dump US$28K in Thai bank account which would cover the need. I might just leave that money sit so could i expect some interest on this money and what might current rates be? Or some have said better to show continuing income from USA SocSec and put as little as possible into Thai bank. And what do i need to show this continuing income stream? Bank statement or govt letter or ??

I could come to T'land, probably get a retirement visa (as has been explained to me, briefly), but in fact need a knee operation. With a retirement visa what is my medical coverage, if any? And does this coverage take effect immediately? Have USA pstprt, age 68, ample funds. Now live nearby.

What is bus VIP? Some special wide farang seating, i.e. big ass?

WIll be arriving BKK Sunday next by air, then need to go to CMai. Like the train, took many in China. How about getting sleeper berth tix at station to CMai on o'nite train leaving 3 hours later? Will this be a big problem? English communication possible with train station agent? If no berth what is best alternative?

My bad, somewhat ambiguous wording. On web site AirAsia says 4 hrs in advance of departure for tix purchase. So i wonder if there is some minimum waiting time at airport before flight departs, maybe security. Another q: can i use cash at airport to buy domestic tix?

Thailand, here i come. My first trip and mostly keen on some good food, cheaper golf and a smooth, wet massage. But need to know if I can buy an air ticket at the airport for any flight leaving soon? Like next flight to Chiang Mai, departing in one hour. And will i pay lots more than if i buy online some time in advance? thnx all.
