Thailand Pass To Entice More International Tourists
club replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Your wrong . What will entice more tourism is open all bars , clubs , lift the ban on alcohol and help Businesses financially that for forced to close because of the government slow response to Covid and getting vaccines. Stop the ridiculous testing of fully vaccinated people that fly in internationally. Start all this when you can vaccinate 80% of population. -
Thailand sets out seven conditions for foreign arrivals without quarantine
club replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Also plan to stay 2 nights at a ASQ hotel. My flight gets into BKK at 11:30 pm. When I get to the Hotel I have to wait until 10:00 am the next day to get tested . Results come 12 hours later. That's when it becomes your second night. Anytime after 1:00 PM , they make you pay for the second night. -
Pubs and bars to remain closed in 17 pilot areas after November 1

The Thai officials that run this government are showing the world how not to attract tourism. Soon they will have to pay tourist to come here. -
It would make more sense to use the money for AHQ and get rapid test where you get results in one hour. They can have holding area at airport. But their way has you pay for hotel for one night and has you pay for test. Anything to make money off of a pandemic.

However, the COE will still be used by those who enter Alternative Hospital Quarantine (AHQ) for those who arrive by land or sea. Once again this makes no sense. It was also announced that all foreigners that fly in will have to take another PCR test and stay at AHQ for one night and will need a COE. If that's the case, who is the Thailand pass for?

Thailand to “focus on quality tourists who can spend more”
club replied to webfact's topic in Hua Hin and Cha-Am News
Thailand's problem is its great they are opening up , but with most businesses shut down the, word will get out to future tourist. people will not come for that reason. The government needs to help Businesses that shut down if they want to see tourist numbers anywhere close to what they were. Its like opening a mall when all stores are closed inside. Still this is good news. Its a start -

Thailand is open – a travel update from the tourism authority of Thailand
club replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
This Thai government seems more interested in Tourism money then beating Covid. So if that's the case then end the quarantine for fully vaccinated international arrivals with negative test. Their are so many people that want to come here and spend money but nobody wants to be locked in a room for 7 days. Lift the useless alcohol restrictions -

https://www.fda.gov/news-events/press-announcements/fda-authorizes-booster-dose-pfizer-biontech-covid-19-vaccine-certain-populations According to this , I would need a booster after 6 months from second shot of Pfizer. I am 65. Last time I checked , I still am considered the general public . Before I let someone stick a vaccine in my arm i try to learn as much public info i can. When this is being reported by multiple news sources along with all the major news networks in the USA I tend to believe them . -

Turns out Pfizer is the USA version of the China Sinovac. Starts out at 95% after second jab. 6 months after second jab 42% against all variant's of Covid. All vaccines weaken, Its just Pfizer and Sinovac have the same time frame 6 months after second jab. Moderna remains the strongest and that's what I plan to get when I travel back home to USA. Also Moderna will have a booster but dont know when https://news.yahoo.com/pfizer-biontech-covid-19-vaccine-223358712.html https://news.yahoo.com/moderna-vs-pfizer-both-knockouts-182810753.html -
