  1. An amusing but unimportant revelation. Daft dodging? I wonder how many USA politocos did that very same thing in their day ?

No-one can excuse it, if it was true, but is now of no consequence.

Smearing history does not help the current life in Thailand, one little bit.

Message to political incumbents " Concentrate on the good things you can do to help your country, rather than the negative in others which have no impact on current life "

" You were elected to change the future, not to play with the past ! "

    and ....

One cannot expect the Thai polticians to be familar with The Holy Bible, St John, Chapter 8, Verse 7.

  2. The Department of Business Development Director-General Banyong Limprayoonwong said that the Commerce Ministry has been drafting a set of regulations on the management and the inspection of foreign shareholding in Thai companies, in a bid to more strongly enforce the Alien Business Law of Thailand.

How many other countries call other nationalities Aliens? TM 47 form for ALIENS......

    .

The term Alien is used in many pieces of legislation in countries all round the world.

When used correctly, the word is not pejorative.

It is only since Hollywood started to use this word that it has taken on a more sinister meaning.

  3. H F & M diseases is not a serious problem in healthy children. However, it is moderately contageous. It is caused by an intestinal Virus, with symptoms of fever, headaches and/or body rash. Any remedial action is to treat the symptoms. It usually passes in a matter of days. Children are treated as for any feverous condition, with drinking plenty of fluids, and with soothing creams to reduce itching. There is some logic in closing schools for a few days until the peak of the outbreak has passed. Hardly a Newsworthy event, and surely of no National significance.

Will TVF correspondents lay the blame for this outbreak on one or other political faction, or the Army, or farangs, or Cambodians, or Russians, or ....... ?

  4. Passenger's were startled by gun fire! Nyuh huh cheesy.gif .. How did this even get reported?

Clandestine Ops to obtain a new secret Larb Moo recipe no doubt.beatdeadhorse.gifpost-4641-1156694005.gif

A military machine gun generally intermittently fires tracer rounds that will glow which allow the troop to know where the rounds are going. Depending on the altitude of the plane and were the shots came from, there is a good chance at least the pilots knew they were being fired upon or at the least somebody was firing military rounds in the air below them.

Some, not all gunners use the four-to-one tracer round. In most Forces the use is optional. The potential disadvantage is that it shows the target where the fire is coming from, even with delayed tracer display.

    But . . .

Whatever. I have serious doubts over the veracity of this whole story.

My guess is the PR guys who leaked this one are quite satisfied with themselves right now. It seems to be stirring up the desired level of attention.
