Go in to the router settings and change the settings to allow roaming. My son has a tp-link mobile router with a DTAC SIM card and can only use it outside Thailand if the router settings are set to allow roaming. See this link:

For the last 9 years I have picked up litter on the bike lane in Hua Hin. I usually do a big bag per day (see attached) and guess that I have picked up a total of about 9 tons of litter so far. It never ends...once I get to the end, I start again. I reckon that if people see litter on the verge, they are more likely to throw away their own litter in the same place. It's all about education, parenting, accountability, pride, integrity etc. Hopefully, the new generation will see that their country is becoming a rubbish tip and change their habits. In the meantime, if anyone fancies picking up litter on the bike lane, feel free. One bag a day makes a difference.

We had rats in our ceiling. I used live traps and rat poison (from Lazada)...no rats now.

I am registered in Nonthaburi but renewed my 5-year DL in Cha-am last year. No problem.

If you have had rabies shots in the past and get bitten again, you only need 2 rabies shots.
From CDC: "If exposed to rabies, previously vaccinated persons should receive two IM doses (1.0 mL each) of vaccine, one immediately and one three days later. "- 1

In 2008, I did not go through with the purchase of a condo because the seller's wife refused to sign the from of consent. I believe there is a form of consent to buy and then sell a condo. If the form of consent is not signed, the purchase/sale can be revoked within 10 years of the transaction taking place. This is from my lawyer in 2008:
"Please also note that Khun _____’s wife and yours are required to sign a spousal letter of consent and present the same to the Land Registrar upon closing otherwise it will be subject to revocation of the sale and purchase transaction by the respective contracting parties’ wife."

I applied for PR in 2007 and got it in 2012! I think the process is much quicker these days. Anyway, once you provide the required documents/information, you just wait. The interview in Thai is pretty simple, so don't be put off by that. It was a good idea to get PR. As a previous poster said: no need for 90 days; no need to do anything during Covid; if your Thai wife dies/leaves you; you still have status in the country.

Immigration has been hit and miss in my more than 30 years in Thailand. Could be a 2-hour wait, or could be 10mins. I suspect the 20-minute maximum wait will be difficult to achieve,

I remember those MD-82's going over my house in Nonthaburi. Very noisy...sounded like a meteor!
"Both reports found that the captain and first officer had worked hours in excess of the legal flight limits; that the first officer attempted to transfer control to the captain during the go-around; that neither pilot initiated a go-around and that the training and safety programs at the airline were deficient. Let's hope they keep to the expensive purpose-built cycle track and not bunch up on the two-lane main road obstructing traffic.
Let's hope they don't leave rubbish along the cycle track.

Yes...I have Thai & UK DLs. Hire car companies in both countries prefer my Thai DL because I live in Thailand and have utility bills that confirm my address.

Well, they always stamp and put in a reference to the original date of my residency on the first page of the passport. I wouldn't want to try to do anything in Thailand with a totally blank passport ???? I want that one
Thanks Tomaz
These questions remain. Anyone?
I have PR and got a new passport a few years ago. I just went to Chaengwattana with old/new passport, Residence book and red book. Just say at reception "new passport" and they will give you a queue ticket for E. If I remember rightly, they just put a few stamps in my new passport/residence book and that was it.

That article is over 12 months old...and still no A330s flying.

Interesting why THAI bought more two-engined wide-bodied planes. Pre-pandemic, the airline had a fleet of 15 A330-300s with an average age of 11 years with some of these being very young aircraft. Not sure what's going to happen to these aircraft but I don't think think they are operation, nor do they form part of THAI's fleet on the website.

And getting down onto the floor and contorting yourself under the sink and in that awkward position finding strength to remove the three tanks….
Not fun for most over 65. Sore for 4 days after.
Indeed...it is a bit of a struggle!

After reading this, I might open a Bangkok Bank account. Both SCB and KTB have recently discontinued their web-based service and Internet banking is only available via their mobile apps. i much prefer using my MacBook for Internet banking. Hopefully, Bangkok Bank won't follow suit and close their web-based service .

On 26th July I submitted a TM30 for a couple of friends who are staying with me. I just checked on the TM30 online website and they are already registered. I followed these instruction I found on a forum:
"To check whether the TM30 data you uploaded have really been filed, simply open the website again, and on the left-hand page click on the 2nd directory and select Search TM30.Enter your username (when it does not appear automatically) and then fill in the search-period for your TM30. The dates need to be max 7 days apart and have to be in Thai date-notation.
Your uploaded TM30 will appear and you can take a screenshot."
What devices are best for constant dog attacks?

I bike most days and used to have problems with soi dogs. I now have a taser bolted to my handlebars. If dogs start to chase me, I deploy the taser which emits a loud crackling noise that dogs are afraid of (like they are frightened of the loud bangs made by fireworks). The taser just makes a noise...doesn't harm the dogs. You can buy them on Lazada:
