  1. "The MG name has always been a performance brand name, Morris wasn't".
The current owners, who are the only one's that count, are not claiming, anywhere, that it is a performance brand.

"The BMC (BL) cars that you mention with the MG badge were their performance options".
They weren't performance cars, they were twin SU-ed, badge-engineered 'performance' cars hoodwinking BMC/BL customers into thinking they were getting a performance car! I know we had an MG 1100 in '66.

    There were turbo versions too.

  3. A friend of mine bought a house with his wife 2 yrs ago with his money of course and since a foreigner's name cannot be on the title, the house & property it sits on legally belongs to her. I cautioned him about doing that and suggested he buy a condo in his name, but he succumbed to his wife's wishes and bought the house. Well, now they are getting a divorce and the house and property is hers. He lost his money and has to start over. Feel sorry for him, but he knew the risk. Probably a common occurrence here. Just a cautionary story for newbies.

In court the starting point in negotiations is a 50/50 split, assuming there are no kids.

  4. Superb Guzz' everyone of them .. If I had to choice one it would be the top bike , the white one ..
And the equally stunning Kawa at the top has a bit of late 80's ZX7 look about it in that livery ..

    +1

  5. Dilligad near the busterminal, the entrance, that's a different one.

Thanks, I wasn’t sure. Was told it’s a new clinic (on the corner) but with the same doctors who we both have used?

  6. Yes, on occasion people get them. Facial tattoos are not for the feint hearted. I guess if someone came to the studio with no tattoos and their first choice was a huge facial tattoo we would probably turn them away and suggest getting used to tattoos on other body parts. Tattoo lovers that would like to add to their collection with a facial tattoo is easier to help.

I think some facial tattoos look fantastic and some look terrible, but, that goes for tattoos on other body parts as well.

Great if you want to limit your availability for prospective jobs.

  7. Agree that it’s a good place, but I was under the impression that it has now changed location nearer to the bus garage (or did I dream that?)

  8. Far from pc and not too new but ‘No Offense’ is really good stuff/Crime/funny series set in Manchester, as was the last offering (Shameless) from this writer.
There are 3 series and from what I’ve seen, all are good.

  9. According to Wiki the divorce rate in the EU is 54%.  You think it is different here ?  Of course so few Thais legally marry so divorce rates in Thailand are misleading but again according to wiki it is only 25% which suggests that your final sentence is an opinion you have formed not based on actual facts.

I always believe statistics about Thailand!
    Well 98.367633674% of the time!

  10. How often did you try to tell a guy that his beloved gf is not as much in love with him like she pretends?
I think I tried it maybe three times when I started to live in Thailand. All three guys didn't want to hear it. All three guys accused me of wanting to destroy their wonderful relationship, etc.
After that I never said anything again and I don't plan to get involved in any of this.
If a guy would ask me specifically if I know if his gf does this and that I would tell him the truth. But only if he asks and if he gives me the impression he wants to know the truth.

Agree. Been there, done that. As the saying goes ‘Not my Circus, not my Monkeys!’

  11. "They are stuck in their own prison in paradise. Even the devil got bored inheaven."

The devil left heaven because he was bored with grace and goodness...wanted to be bad and to be the boss...

Those farangs stuck in their personal prisons in paradise are pampered daily beyond belief...no farang female from their home countries would ever give them the personal attention an Issan lady considers essential to keep her man happy and contented...

Wow, thats a generalization/stereotyping if I ever heard one.
Why do so many Isaan ladies & Western Guys divorce then? Is it only the guys fault???
