  1. Yeah . Just got through it all without killing myself (laughing).
Pity that it's not of a style that could include more seasons.
What will Gayvais's next project be I wonder?

Saw an interview yesterday and he said that he’s got a new tour shortly but may consider a second season if it’s well received (season1).

  2. Much as I like Macy I could never take to this series after the superb job done by David Threlfall in the original version. I found the characters a bit too PC in the US version and not as willing to push the boundaries. Frank was probably one of the best British characters of its time.

    +1

  3. Concerning the farang heavy drinkers in Isaan. This is my worry, i am retired and strongly thinking moving to the Khukan-Sisaket area to be with my lady friend. However last year i spent a month in the area and did not meet one farang. Not having contact with an English speaking neighbour for the occasional 'chat and beer' i think would drive me "stir crazy"

There are numerous farang styled restaurants/bars in & around Sisaket province. I cannot imagine one trip to town, where you didn’t meet a farang.

    Hong Kong Garden
    Living in the past
    Pop -in
    Cuckoos nest
    Leo’s restaurant

    To name a few!!!

  4. Never been a big fan of Queen but watched Bohemian Rhapsody last night- wow!

Rami did a great job there I enjoyed it because I once met them all before the Title track had hit it big-time.

  5. The whole series (22) of Silent Witness is available from the usual suspects. Enjoyed it, with a few nice views of London & Brighton.

  6. Someone told me about an old series called Picket Fences with Tom Skerritt. For its time (early 90s) in the US its pretty provocative for a mainstream tv channel,  CBS.

From Wiki- The show dealt with unusual topics for the prime-time television of the period, such as abortion, incest, homophobia and LGBT adoption, trans-sexuality, racism, belief in God, medical ethics, polygamy, polyamory, adolescent sexuality (including nocturnal emission), date rape, cryonics, the Holocaust, shoe fetishism, masturbation, animal sacrifice, spontaneous human combustion, and constitutional rights. ... and that's just the firsts series!

    Is it a comedy?

  8. And your own country isn't...?  [emoji848]

Yes it is, but the differences have greatly reduced and some items (like reasonable quality clothes) can be found cheaper in western shores than in LOS now, I believe.

  9. So I moved to the village, got married, and never looked back.

Currently in the UK for a couple of months to sell my property, can't wait to get back though.

The incredibly slow and friendly way of life in Isaan is perfect for me. Completely different to the soul destroying rat race drudgery of the UK, with it's constant grey skies and exorbitant prices.

AND DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON BREXIT!

Many been there, done that, got the T-shirt.
My advise would be, to always have a contingency plan as this is a crazy country that’s full of surprises. It’s getting dearer and dearer to live a good life here IMO.

  10. Yeah of couse it's Honda Click, my fault haha [emoji1]

But nice to hear some good reviews about it - hope someone can tell me more about the other bikes as well.

The Zoomer X also look pretty good, it's so hard to choose

I hate the Zoomer X with a vengeance, it’s front forks are too vertical and with the small wheels, I just feel very on a dangerous bike for a farang.
