Thx for all ur replys,the uniform was from my brother in law(he was voter for a appatar,a kind off village head or something)he must buy his uniform 10000 he said(he looks like a general in it, u know how they are that thais,with all that badges and flags on it,even a parachute or wings on it.like he just came from the paras,hahahaha)Its a white uniform specialy made for him.So 10.000 bath it costs he said?.
But now my wifes son must go to marines,he phoned that he also must buy his uniform and stuff.He not named a price yet.I wanna know iff that is tru,becouse here in holland all service men get all for free!I never heard from it before(only my brother in law then)so i dont know iff it is a set up,or tru,
u know los for money.But now i still dont know iff he must buy,nobody a thai military in his neighberhood? -

Hello,i have son(from my wife married before)who must serve the thai army(marine).Now we get a call from him,and he says that he must buy his own uniform?I must tell u that this is the first time that u hear in my life that a militar must buy his own uniform.So my question is:is this so?
I know my brother in law must buy his uniform when he was voted to be a appatar,a kind off village head,and he must pay 10000 bath!!!!!

Hi,i go april to surin city.I did this before by train or bus.Now i would try to go by air,is there any flight to surin city,or nearby,from bkk??When yes,some off you have experiance with it??

I can do like this i think?I open an account whit my toerist visa,my wife who is thai,open also an account on the same bank,but let her take internet banking.She will give her account number for that,later on when everything is running,she will give up my account number to put in this also as a sub account number to take care via inernet banking.And i will take control with everything.Thats the way i do it in holland also,only here i have the internet banking account for my self,and my wifes number is the sub account.Will this work in thailand also you think?Or is it only possible to have only one number with i banking?

OK everybody,some say i can,some say i can not.In januari i go and give it a try.But when i not can open an account,and i wanted to stay for one year with the visa for one year,how can i show my 800.000 bath on my account when i not have one becouse i can not open one.?
Zendesigner ik kom naar thailand in januari,en ga het gewoon proberen.Ik heb het weleens gevraagd,de laatste keer dat ik daar was.Dat was in Surin stad,bankok bank,bij het wisselen van cheqeus.Toen kreeg ik een afwijzend antwoord.Ik heb toen niet verder gevraagd,en nu zie je nu moet ik het hier vragen.

Well thanks everybody,i just gonna give it a try in januari.I am in a bit of a worry now.Two years ago i have made a house just outside Surin city,it is almost finisht.When i go there in januari,i wanted to make a fence and a terrace.It will cost me i think 500000 bath.I made this house for to stay,when i am on holiday.(before i go too ban khayjai a small village,just outside Surin city,and stay in the house of my wife s family,but jou guys will know"thats not a pleasant holiday,sleep on the floor,cold water with a bucket in the morning,and the insect bites everywhere")But most importand thing that i made this house is that i later in about 10 years or sommething(i hope much sooner)i wanted to go live there with my wife.But now i am thinking,ïs it the right thing too do,too spend my money 10000 km away in something thats when it going this way like it is going now,i later never can stay ,with those visa rules.?!??!

So,i need a work permit to open an account,and i need an account to get a work permit?(you must have 800000 bath on a account to stay,for a visa for 1 year)

In januari i go,and then i wil open an account,and ask for internet banking.Is it better to do this in bangkok,or i do it in surin,the place i go?(i am asking this,becouse i read in postings before,that they not making any problem in bangkok,when you open an account there,when you are on a holiday visa.But maybe someone have done this in surin and find also no problems,)

Yes you know what i mean,i am in holland,i send some money too my acount in Thailand(when the bath is low)But when i am in holland,and i go one year later to Thailand,and i chek my balance then,maybe the money not come.When i have an internet banking acount from a bank in Thailand,i can login from anywhere,if there is an internet connction,and chek it every day.

The price increases,yes i think so.But what can i do,its the brother from my wife,he also must take care for the house when i am not there.So what is your atvice for this?Must i go too the chinese construction compagnie.The price will be 1000/1500 bath a meter,you read that from Ed.When the brother say it will cost 700,i am ok with that.The cement is also gone up in two years time from 70 bath to 120 bath a bag.

When i go to thailand,i wanted to put the money i take with me,on a bank.I wanted to try,to open an acount.Is there a bank that have internet banking,so that i open my acount there,but i can send the money from my home country(holland) to this acount,so i can see if the money will get on the bank.So that i still have control over my money,when i stay in holland.

In januari i go for a 6 weeks holiday to Thailand.It wil be not only for a holiday becouse i wanted to make a fence around my house,i build 1.5 years ago.Now i wanted to know,how high would i make it?My(thai)wife is saying 2 meters,but i am thinking it is much too high.Would i make it from stone and cement?Ore must i make it from stone and iron?And the most importend thing for me is,how much is it going too cost,for lets say 1 stretching meter, wall or fence.(I must make it around+/- 2.5 rai)Have sombody an advice for me about this three things,hight,cement/iron and the cost,so i know how much money i must spend on it.

Better let the thai people work,they know the people who can do the work.1 1/2 year ago,i also let my brother in law,build a house for me,+/_ 3 rai of land,some ground for stay above the water level from the rice fields and the house + painting,all together around + 1.000.000 bath.Last year in april i was going to look for the house how it was finished.I was surprised how good he has don it.But as somebody say,it is better to stay during the building,than you can say how you wanted to have it precisley.And also for the finishing toutch.For exsample,i was going there for the painting (inside/outside)when i not was there,they put interiour paint on the outside of the walls,and not the special outside paint(wite paint is wite paint for them).So you can imagine what wil happen after one rain season.I was also painting my house but i was stopped with that, becouse in april it is to hot for a farang to work,not to sit in the swimming pool with a heineken
,but maybe he also must buy his own boat later?Or his m16?
