My ethailand mail has no spam box and no filters set up. Everything I get comes into the inbox.
I checked the help file as you recommended and I have everything set up properly to receive notifications. I do receive notifications of the most recent postings and news items, but not notifications of replies to postings.
The only thing I have not been doing is Clicking the 'Track This Topic' link and I didn't think I had to do this because I have notifications by default checked under Board Preferences.
At the bottom of this composition I can see "You are currently receiving email notification of replies"
But I am still not getting anything
-
George,
I'm subscribed to a number of topics, but I did not subscribe to any forums.
I checked my email notification address and it is correct.
Under Board Preferences, I have all three boxes checked, i.e.,
Include a copy of the post when emailing me from a subscribed topic
Enabling this option will send a plain text version of the post in the subscription email.
Send a confirmation email when I receive a new private message
Enabling this option will send an email confirmation of any new private messages sent to you.
Enable 'Email Notification' by default?
Enabling this option will automatically subscribe you to any topic you start or reply to.
Under board settings I changed the time to local time.
I posted to two or three topics today, including this one but did not get any notifications. I had to view new posts to see your reply.
-
I haven't received an email notification of replies to postings for ages. I have the correct email address in my controls and have enabled email notification of replies, but am getting nothing. Anyone else having the same problem?

You should also get your windows updates done. At least the security and critical patches.
-
If you are using winXP try
Start | All Programs | Accessories | Accessibility
You should see the on-screen keyboard. It will change to Thai when you change the language to Thai. (EN to Th)
Win 98/ME should also have it in the same location, but it may not be installed. Try it and see. If not installed you will have to install it from add windows components and accessibility.

and if you qualify as a retired military
I just looked at the online application requirements, and the above statement should be modified to read, "Retired Military affiliated with Fairchild AFB, Aviano AFB, Camp Ederle, Vicenza or Camp Darby, Tirrenia"
http://www.globalcu.org/membership/memberapp.asp
In other words, not all military retirees.

On a U.S., Passport you are allowed 30 days without a visa
http://www.thai-la.net/visa/visa.htm#country
http://www.imm3.police.go.th/eng/visa.htm
If you are staying 60 days without one and without permission for the additional 30 days, it seems that you have had a long run of luck which could end at any time.
I have not gone through this personally, but perhaps some other forum members have and can give you more details, but from the information below, it looks fairly straightforward.
Procedures for passengers who did not receive an entry stamp :.
http://www.imm3.police.go.th/eng/noentrystamp.htm
.: Procedures for passengers who did not receive an entry stamp :.
An alien who enters the Kingdom at recognized check-points but who did not receive a visa stamp, can apply for a visa as follows:
1. If the point of entry was Bangkok International Airport: Please report to the officer on duty at Room 519, 5th Floor, Old Building, Immigration Bureau, Soi Suan Plu, Sathorn District, Bangkok. Tel. 287-3101-10 Ext. 2191
2. If the entry point was a provincial checkpoint: Please report to the officer at Section 1 (Administration & Personnel), 9" Floor, New Building, Tel. 287-1913 or 287-3101-10 Ext. 2161-2.
Bring copy of your original flight ticket , boarding card slip or other travel document to show the date/flight of your entry. The officer on duty will make the necessary entries/corrections in your passport.

If MS knew that all owners of pirated software used a firewall, updated anti-virus and anti-spywware programs, they might have decided not to distribute so freely. MS is trying to show that it is concerned with security (about time) and so the users of pirate software get a break. Much of MS's business comes from corporations, who have to be extremely concerned with security, and MS doesn't want them to switch. But they know it is the average user who doesn't take any protective measures that causes much of the spread of viruses, worms, trojans, and other malware.
It's also possible that MS really doesn't know who has which version as the pirated versions are done very well. If any of you have pirate versions, try this (I've tried this on machines with both pirated and non pirated versions):
Start | Run | then type "oobe/msoobe /a" without the quotes and with a space before /a.
You should get a product already activated notice.
This will not work from a command prompt.

Try http://www.lisulodge.com/index.html - maybe they can help you.

Try Robertson's Dictionary - you can get it from Amazon or http://www.thaiphrasebook.com/books/031.php

If anyone is looking for an "easy" MBA here, I doubt there is one. I did the Exec MBA (called a Masters in Management) at Sasin and the Masters in Marketing at Thammasat. Sasin had a much more professional program at the time I attended, but they both required a lot of time, because there is a lot of group work outside of class hours including weekends. For Storekeeper, it should be no problem getting the GI Bill. I used it for both - but you will have to do most of the paperwork yourself because the schools won't do it, although they will sign just about anything you give them.

Normally, legitimate investment organizations put the names of their principal officers on their web site. Couldn't find any names on the Barkley site. Wonder if they are trying to capitalize on the name of Barkley Financial Corp? I did a search in the New York city Yellow pages and nothing turned up. In the national yellow pages, www.yp.com they did turn up in New Jersey, but not in Staten Island, not in Wayne Pennsylvania, not in Chicago, not in Florida, - didn't bother with Canada. One would have to wonder also why no telephone numbers are given for any location except New York City.
Also they show their Paramus NJ address as Paramus 385 Rt. 17 South Paramus, NJ 07652, but the address in the yellow pages is 385 N State Rt 17
According to http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=lang...401&btnG=Search the company located at 50 broad Street, Suite 1401 New York NY 10004 is called Great Eastern Securities. http://www.getrader.com/b10/locations.cfm.
Finally found them in New York at (their address is different from the web site address, and they registered in Mid 2003

You might also want to contact Bangkok International Associates (BIA), 17th Floor ITF Tower II, Silom Road, 02-231-6201 Khun Ronachai Krisda-olarn - he's an American born lawyer who has taken Thai nationality after being in the legal profession here since the 1970's. Usually if you call the above number and ask for Khun Ron, he will be on the phone in a few seconds....no questions asked and no secretary run-arounds. I do not work for the firm, am not a lawyer, but have known Ron for over 20 years. Straight talk.

You are correct. I should have said 7%

What's your rationale for thinking that the baht will hit 80 to the pound? That's a 15% drop in value...
I'm not disagreeing, just asking

He who starts paying bribes does so at the risk of a never ending sweries of requests for more.
When you want to do things illegally, be prepared for the day you get caught (nothing to do with my handle).
Maybe someone claims they did it, but that is not proff they did. And don't forget that Immigration does not issue work permits...it is the Ministry of Labour....now we are up to at least two bribes...going for three anyone?????

Living Costs
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Posted
Not really enough information to help because your costs of living here depend on your life style, accommodations preferences, area in which you want to live, etc. The range is huge. You can rent a place for as little as B2000/month (US$50) to B100,000 ($2500) or more. Food can be from B5-8 for a bowl of noodles to over $1000 baht per person at a restaurant. Medium range would be about 70-120 baht per person per meal eating out, and about 50-70% of that eating home for western food and less for Thai food.
Gasoline (petrol)is about 20 baht per liter, so figure B80/gallon or about $2 US.
Electricity is about 3-5 baht per Kwh depending on where you live.
Water is about 15B per unit...often a surcharge of 3-5 baht per unit depending on the landlord. Usage can run from roughly 10-20 units per mont...mmore if you have a bunch of kids.
Thee is medical insurance available here from Bupa Blue Cross and a number of other companies, like Aviva Asia, but many only service group plans. http://www.aviva-singapore.com.sg/general-...ce/overview.htm
Google thailand health insurance and you will find a bunch of them.
