    Incorrect.

We had guns.  We kicked them out twice.

    Nothing like American determination.

    •
The Continental Congress established the Secret Committee of Correspondence to publicize the American cause in Europe, particularly in France. Benjamin Franklin, a well-known figure in Europe, was sent to Paris to negotiate with the French government. His celebrity status and diplomatic skills were instrumental in securing French assistance.
    • While France was eager to see Britain weakened, King Louis XVI was initially hesitant about formally recognizing the American rebellion due to concerns about the potential impact on his own monarchy. Before a formal alliance, France provided covert support, including arms and supplies, through figures like Pierre Beaumarchais. The Treaty of Alliance, signed in 1778, formalized the Franco-American alliance, committing both nations to mutual defense and providing crucial military and financial aid to the Americans.
France committed significant resources to the American Revolution, including warships, soldiers, and financial aid. French naval support and troops, particularly at the Battle of Yorktown, were critical to the American victory.
The French alliance and support were vital to the American victory in the Revolutionary War.

Do you live under a stone or not read the news??

The United States did engage in diplomatic efforts with Iran before military actions in June 2025. According to reports, U.S.-Iran negotiations began on April 12, 2025, with the Trump administration pushing for Iran to abandon its nuclear enrichment program. U.S. officials assessed that Iran was in a weak position and might return to the negotiating table, with potential high-level talks involving Special Envoy Steve Witkoff.

However the talks between the U.S. (via Special Envoy Steve Witkoff) and Iran in 2025 ultimately failed to prevent escalation. Despite multiple meetings, including direct talks on April 12, 2025, and June 13, 2025, in Oman focusing on Iran’s nuclear program and a potential ceasefire, the negotiations did not yield a lasting agreement. Key points:

The talks aimed to halt Iran’s nuclear enrichment in exchange for de-escalation, but Iran’s demands and the U.S.’s insistence on verifiable commitments led to a stalemate.

Israel’s unilateral strikes on Iran’s nuclear and military facilities starting June 13, 2025, and Iran’s retaliatory missile attacks, further derailed diplomatic efforts.

Would that be the same stone that Trump dumped the JCPOA in 2018? There was a treaty in place during his first presidency.

Inane comment. I have very few heroes, and do not consider any country heroic.

Before you throw any more baseless slurs based on wrong assumptions, my sister is currently being evacuated from the American embassy in Beirut.

Exactly, a few days ago that is what he posted...TACO, and now when Trump didn't chicken out, he trill complains, just no pleasing some people!

It is the act of a chicken/coward/bully to drop bombs on a technologically and militarily inferior nation. A brave man would engage in talk to address problems between sworn enemies, rather than endanger the lives of innocent American citizens around the world.

Maybe you are, but Im sure they are dancing in the Saudi palaces and South Korea, among other places.

BTW, are you advocating the violent overthrow of Trump? Tell the Forum who in the world is calling for that? Your terrorist allies? Is their a country that will be seeking to overthrow our govt by force?

Have another twinkie before Mommy calls you upstairs for dinner.

Where did my post mention violence, or call for it? Is that the only form of govt change you recognise, Jan 6 style?

Some 250 years ago you overthrow a mad king, seems things have gone full circle.

I will not stoop to your level and finish with some weird comment about mommy and twinkle. Very strange.
