Took a taxi from the airport to Rawai two weeks back. It cost me 750 baht.

I have tried several banks in the last two weeks, both in Pattaya and Phuket. Up to date all have wanted a 12 month visa and residence certificate from Thai Immigration.

If anyone has open an account recently in Phuket on a 60 day tourist visa. It would be appreciated if you could provide the name and location.

First of all the 100 Baht per minute is a rumour. Could be true, could not be true.

But always interesting to see that somebody without having any idea about the expenses and projected income is making a judgment.

Every day another flight arrives at Phuket International Airport and out come all of the Valentine Rossi and Casey Stoners, the majority that have never ridden a motorbike in their own country never less in a country like Thailand where driving/riding is calculated in centimetres and sometime millimetres.

Every day I watch a large percentage of tourist act in an irresponsible/disrespective manner hurtling along the beach road from Karon to Kata. I gasp when I see Dad in control of the bike, with mom riding pillion and the little one holding on to the handlebars a lot of the time NOT wearing stack hats.

A very sad situation! But it serves us all to be mindful. It doesnt matter how long you have resided in the LOS, things can turn for the worse very quickly. Never drop your guard.

Nothing worse, then sitting down in a restaurant for a nice meal. Only to have half a dozen people on the next table light up and start puffing away. Unfortunately there are a couple of nationalities that don’t give a rats, when it comes to any laws or common curtsey which exist in Thailand. I have even seen some use a plate as an ash tray. A total disregard and disrespect to the Thais working there and other patrons

The problem is Pattaya has become an anex of Moscow. The Russians get away with just about anything 99% of the time. This was the exception...lol
