There is 12Go app for Android and iPhone, just search respective app store
I have checked it out - thanks a lot. This is exactly what I was looking for.
Easy and convenient. I booked my trip from Bangkok to Phuket and paid by credit card. Will update here how it worked after the trip.

I do not like to go to ticket counters for a bus ticket. Is there a way to buy tickets online in Thailand where you get your ticket by mail or sms? I found ticketmajor, but it did not work well on my phone. Are there alternatives? How can I avoid running to the bus station 3 days in advance to get a ticket? I do not speak Thai.

Two more dangerous drivers 'disarmed'. May their soles rest in peace.

And there I sit and thought I had seen it all, heard it all. And whoosh - another story from the LOS that makes me think the local politicians have lost their mind. Feeling curious about what comes next...

What happens when a country/embassy issues a travel warning?
Do travel agencies cancel selling holidays due to insurance issues?

16 dead, 5 injured. So it was the driver with 20 passengers. Nothing un-usual. RIP to the poor victims of the drunken driver.

Didn't the PM say 'Don't worry' about three weeks ago?

As I see the problem teachers in Thailand are not paid well enough. The teachers are not the only ones to blame, it is the system. Graduates with a decent GPA go into business where they can make money. A lot of students who are not good enough to get a good and well-paid job become teachers. And they teach topics they themselves only understood partly. So with every generation the knowledge transferred to the next generation becomes worse. How do you call a Thai person with an IQ of 70? ... Professor.

So now it is back to normal and for a year or two there will be no more crackdowns.
Good job, back to daily routine

"Since I first started in this position I have ordered that officials must be strict and work to control these sex shows. They really ruin Phuket's image."
I always thought they are Phuket's image...

'Deputy Bangkok Governor Amorn Kitchawengkul said to reduce flood risks during the rainy season, the water level in Bangkok's Bang Sue Canal was now 80 per cent lower than the mean sea level.'
How much is 80% under sea level? Can somebody please explain?

'Seeing themselves outnumbered by Wirat’s friends and supporters, the police turned to flee but Col Sommai was caught and beaten insensible in front of the crowd.'
'.... and others visited Col Sommai yesterday (September 11) bringing flowers and a cash reward for his courage.'
I bet the smile for getting money made his broken teeth hurt. Poor police...

My map of Thailand must be wrong. It does not say that Chanthaburi, Trat, Ranong, and Phang-Nga are in the North...

Again?
Oh, yes - it's that time of the year again. Surprise surprise... -
Rest in peace!
Does the picture show the van? There were 14 people in there?

The 2-year old nephew kicked the motorbike?

First the time frame was always three months, then 2 months and now 2 weeks. Is the Government is getting ambitious or did they found out that within 2 weeks nobody cares anymore anyway?

Every student of chemistry I asked in Thailand about the structure of acetone (or drawing the structure and asking for the name) failed... And these were all university students. Most of them did not even know alcohol. What a shame

Poor girl, rest in peace.
If this would have happened in Pattaya and she would have had her hands cuffed the police would surely say it was suicide...- 1

This is how it looks when it goes wrong:

Saw the video and can't say there is something bad about it. Turn the TV on after 10 pm in Europe and you see worse. But TiT - can't do that here...
Feel sorry for the girls getting punished.

Take a look at the Immigration office in Chiang Mai and you can see how many people try to get their ID card. No wonder it takes hours to get the 90-days-slip into your passport. A shame...

Has anyone ever seen a taxi with a meter on in Chiang Mai? Even the ones at Robinson lurking for foreigners will not turn them on. Or did I always had the wrong taxi?
In Chiang Mai nothing will change as long as the 'rot daeng' mafia is around...

RIP.
You can be the best driver - accidents happen.
Thailand is surely more dangerous than other countries, but that can not stop me from riding. Just a bit more careful though...
Can I buy bus tickets online?

Thank you very much for all your answers.
I went to the 12go.asia website, installed the app for iOS, found my trip, booked it, paid, went. Worked smooth as silk. It even comes in 5 or six languages once you found out you have to push the maintenance button to change them.
The Tansport Co website is not in English. Even after clicking the British flag (where are the stars and stripes?) most of their page is still in Thai. Thai Ticket looks better, but did not work on my phone.
For me the free app of 12go.asia is the best choice. And it is not only Thailand. Hope they will have more trips in there in the future.
