  1. Now get Allah tatooed on the other arm…🤔
  2. The interesting here apart from the womans wellbeing is why does the medical insurance the couple have dont cover this or at least some of the expences?
  3. I married my thai gf 2 years back in my home country in Europe. Now we are in the process of getting the marriage legislated/legalised in Thailand. I have got the marriage sertificate translated to english, its legislated by the local Notarius Publicus, aknowledged by ministry of foreign affairs and finally legalised by the thai embassy - after God know how many booked appointments, missed appointments, train trips back and forward, getting up before dawn, days off work etc etc. Now the thai embassy tells us that the local amphur in Thailand need a legalised and approved copy of the document side of my passport as well… 😖 It means I have to go through the whole process again and this time with my passport including booking appointments and making trips to Notarius Publicus, ministry of foreign affairs, and the thai embassy AGAIN ANOTHER TIME!!! So my question is - does the local amphur really need a legislated and legalised copy of the document site of my passport to get the marriage sertificate approved and legalised? Isnt it enough to show up and hand over the real passport to them along with the legalised marriage sertificate? Has anyone been through this mess lately???
  4. Its not true! I have been to Pattaya, Soi Bangla in Phuket, Loy Kroh rd in Chiang Mai, soi Cowboy and Nana Plaza in Bangkok - and I never saw any prostitutes there….
  5. They open 4000 or 5000 bars in a very limited area and keep most of them open 24/7 - and pours alcoholic drinks to each and every customer no matter they state of inabriaton - and then later complains about some drunks making a little noise and brawling with eachother….😆😆😆
  6. The biggest massacre and terror in the deep south in the last 50 years was done by the government themselves killing 85 persons - with Thaksin at the helm…. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tak_Bai_incident Not that I defend any kinds of terror or. massacre btw.
  7. There are direct flights both to Kuala Lumpur and Hanoi from Chiang Mai - where you also can get a visa.
  8. Divert flights to Khon Kaen? Is there even an airport there where bigger jets can land???🧐😆😆😆
  9. That law is at least 10 years old…. Thus its not new at all
  10. Just when you thought it couldnt get worse….😏😏🤮🤮
  11. Taksin was prime minister when both of these things took place. He was the leader of the country, nothing was initiated unless Thaksin approved it…. In a democratic country he would have been impeached and convicted for such atrocities! Instead he was prosecuted for some economical stuff…
  12. ???? I doubt he will get any support from the thousands of left behind family and friends of the 2500 extrajudicially executed after the «war on drugs» campaign. And Im pretty sure the ditto left behinds of the 84 killed in the Tak Bai incident also will be a bit questionous about this claim…
  13. Thats the only correct thing to do!
  14. Kill a few traffickers wont matter much as long as….. There is a demand for such drugs - there will always be someone making/producing such drugs and then traffickers to distribute the drugs….
  15. Of course its possible! People do visaruns all the time, stamp out of TH, stamp in to Lao-stamp out of Lao and back and into TH again - in less than an hour. Costs 40 USD for a Laos visa though. So why dont spend some time in Laos?
  16. «Four year plans» I think I can recall a little from history lessons in school where a few other countries also had «4 year plans». If my memory serves me right it wasnt of the most economic succsesfully countries that had such plans….????????
  17. An insurance will be void if one doesnt have the correct license. And probably also if one rides a motorbike without a helmet and in flipflops….
  18. No its not as it was before the bridge was opened. Now the Immigration and Customs for both Thailand and Laos is at each end of the bridge and the bridge is approx 15 kms kms away from Chiang Khong and similar distance from Huay Xai…
  19. Crossing from Chiang Khong to Huay Xai shouldnt be any problem. I guess only the transport to the bridge from Chiang Khong and from the bridge to Huay Xai can be a bit problemstic as both distances are quite far….
  20. "Thailand is a lovely place with so many great attractions - but their police are not one of them". Dont know this girl - but I tend to agree….
  21. The most recent post covid experiences I have read suggest that it has been for most riders completely impossible to cross that border on a motorbike. Some other riders were able to cross but had to pay that well known scam (tourguide fee) which is mentioned to be 2000-2500 baht. So we can say that attempting to cross this border just for a border bounce is probably not worth it.
  22. About as hardcore enforcing as the mandatory motorbike helmet law….????????
