Some will live to see if this was a major positive achievement by P5+1 or a mistake. My guess is that this deal will be considered good in the future and Obama will have a positive legacy in the history books. We have to wait and see, that part of the history isnt made yet. Some people that are so sure of themselves, thinking that they are Nostradamus might look like fools in the future.

I wonder if we'll ever see a pic and review of one....that's the most expensive burger I've ever heard of....for the size anyway.
If I recall right, when the place first opened and in a prior burgers thread here, there were folks who tried the burger and posted that they thought it was good. But I'm not sure if here were any photos posted.
Whether they thought it was that good to deserve the price, or, because they'd just spent 700-800 baht to buy it, I couldn't say.
Suffice to say, for me, I don't know what ANYONE could do with a hamburger that would make me want to spend 800 baht to eat it. Spending that much to get a really good steak cut, I can get behind. But for a ground beef sandwich???
PS - Here's one/some photos... Doesn't look like much to me...
I've never been to Gaucho's....I don't mind dropping 5k on a meal but it had better be value for money.
That burger doesn't scream out anything at all.
I had a rare burger at Gaucho in Asoke. It was the best burger Ive had in my whole life. But im not from a burger country so I havnt sampled much burgers, not counting the fast food branch restaurants like McD and Burger King.

If I had a son in the Boy Scouts, the last thing I would want is a gay scout leader supervising him. This nonsense is taking political correctness to a whole new level.
Gay and pedo is not the same. The scout leader is interested in adult males. Hes not a gay pedo. An overwhelming majority of straight and gay people prefer adults, you know. Whats the problem with having a gay man as a scout leader?

The US is the most powerful country in the world, even though some US citizens are deluded and think that their own country suddenly has become weak because they believe Obama is weak. The negotiations cannot seem to get past the removal of sanctions as a first non-negotiable step. Seems as if the constant reference to Iranian sponsored terrorism has allowed the crazy Persians into believing they now negotiate from a position of strength as crazy as that sounds.
Ipso facto, the Persians negotiate from a position of strength not because they inherently have it but because the US is weak!
The US is negotiating from a position of strength compared to Iran.
But... No US president can stop Irans nuclear program completly without military action. No matter how "strong" the president is.
Sanctions without a deal wont slow down Irans nuclear program. The ayatollahs would let Iranian citizens starve to death while continuing with the nuclear program.
-
P5+1 wants to negotiate with Iran. The only country that has a problem with Iran enriching "1%" uranium is Israel.
Oh, so now it's about Israel which isn't even part of the group of 5+1 nations who are negotiating because they have a very big problem with Iran enriching uranium.
Now that I see your real motivation I can stop having this discussion which is about something you don't understand at all.
Israel dont want P5+1 to negotiate with Iran.

The purpose of the UN sanctions: The sanctions are only put into place as a coercieve method to make Iran comply to having a transparent nuclear program with limited uranium enrichment under the supervision of IAEA.
Do you ever do any actual thinking or research at all or just type whatever bit of foolishness pops up in your head? The current UN Sanctions forbid Iran from enriching uranium. That is a BUNCH of countries - DUH!There is no country except Israel that has any problem with Iran enriching "1%" (1% as in an example of very small quantities) of uranium as of now.
Any other countries opposed to this? Dont bring up your beloved congress, please.
The only country that has a problem with Iran producing "1%"-enriched uranium is Israel.
("1%" as an example of very low enrichment levels)

It is a tense and dramatic event, for sure. And the piece you quote is written in a dramatic fashion, but if you cut thru the drama I still think it sounds like a deal in the making.
Who are the others?A deal is in the best interest of the world except Israel and the moderate(im using the word in a highly sarcastic way) Sunni allies of the US.
"The world" doesn't seem to think so and there's a lot of push back on this from European and ME countries.
If you speak for "the world," good for you. I can speak only for myself, and reference what others say when they speak for themselves.
The US Republicans, Israel and Sunni Arab ME countries?
You are not speaking on behalf or refering to the opinion of the majority of the population in western Europe, right?
See above.
Deal or no deal?
We have to wait and see.

"President Obama Must Not Complete a Disastrous Deal With Iran."

"The deal with Iran follows in the wake of these foreign policy disasters. Among our traditional Sunni allies in the region, it is seen as a betrayal not simply because it advances Iran’s nuclear ambitions but also because it encourages Iran’s support for the Houthi Shiite militia in Yemen and Iran’s adventurism in Iraq. The lifting of sanctions means more resources for Iran to transfer to its meddlesome proxies like Lebanon’s Hezbollah, the assassin of Lebanon’s democratic aspirations.
The Iran deal is a march toward the nuclear abyss hand-in-hand with the world’s largest exporter of terrorism– the patron of Hezbollah, Hamas, Houthi militias in Yemen, Shiite militias in Iraq, and operatives killing Jews in Argentina. Regrettably, a naïve, petulant President Obama sees this as a crowning part of his legacy and nothing will stand in his way."

P5+1 are busy with sorting out the issue right now: The issue of Irans actual right to enrich uranium. A right given by signing the Nuclear Non Proliferation Treaty. Thats the reason why the grown ups are sitting at the table discussing.

This is an example of the typical right wing FOX viewer. Unable to have a reasonable discussion....repeating the nonsense they see on FOX Television. But she is their favorite psycho.
FOX News is entertainment. Nothing else.
If I were a US citizen I would vote for democrats.
Hillary Clinton is a psycho.
My post is meaningless and I should refrain from participating in these kinds of threads in an anonymous Thai Expat forum. 'God' forbid that I would write a single word in this topic since Im not a US citizen

The backdrop behind the negotiations with Iran are to say the least surreal. Pakistani troops alongside Saudis are poised to land in Aden to fight Shia militia allied to Iran. Pakistan are already a nuclear power who will certainly arm the Saudis with nuclear weapons if requested to so do. Iran know this very well and even if they sign off an agreement with the P5+1 theres fat chance of them honouring it with a Sunni vs Shia war breaking out.
Good 1st of April joke!
I really wonder how you can come to this kind of conclusion.

Iran still has the right to produce an limited amount of uranium needed for friendly nuclear technology if Iran lets the nuclear program become fully transparent and lets it be under the supervision of IAEA. Exactly as all countries that signed the treaty. If answering your question correctly is "off topic" That would be YOUR fault. Iran signed the NPT and therefore is forbidden from producing nuclear weapons. Israel already had them, did not sign the NPT and is under no obligation to do so.

Your agreement was violated by Iran which is what lead to them being banned from enriching uranium and sanctions being enforced by the UN. It is all there in my links.
Im not even going to comment on your links.

This agreement was signed by Iran and gave Iran the right to enrich uranium for friendly nuclear technology.
I got the IAEA link - they were the ones who caught Iran - confused with a AIPAC link, by the way, but AIPAC tells what happened very clearly.
Is Iran's behavior governed by the NPT?
It's supposed to be. Iran signed the NPT as a non-nuclear state in 1968 and ratified it in 1970, when Iran was ruled by the Shah Reza Pahlavi, a close ally of the United States. After it was caught in what looked like violations of its NPT commitments last fall, Iran agreed to a much stricter Additional Protocol imposed by the IAEA, which called on it to suspend all uranium-enrichment and reprocessing activities, stop production of material for enrichment processes, and halt imports of enrichment-related items. Under the Additional Protocol, Iran must declare any plans to build centrifuges and must allow international inspectors expanded access to its facilities.

Im talking countries, not your very unimportant congress in the big scheme of things. Your congress is not the center of the universe in this matter.

Im not going to participate in a bickering fest.
I was suspended this weekend.
Why don't you calm down then? There's nothing to fight about. It's a discussion.
Cheers
How can you discuss when someone dont take the time to read the OP, posts and replies to those posts before jumping into the discussion. That someone doesnt even know what the discussion is about.
Theres no fight. Just makes me tired. Some people just seem to be trigger happy on the keyboard. Shoot first read later or dont read at all.
The real reason of my low tolerance at this moment are because of members baiting, trolling, provoking, insinuating that i dont tell the truth while Ive been spending a lot of time on TVF this past few weeks. I was suspended during the weekend cause I blurted out a insult. I blame it on myself but some people just seem to sit on the forum trying to push peoples buttons and feed on others peoples energy.
Cheers.

Please try to keep up. This has been settled long ago. Iran signed the NPT and therefore is forbidden from producing nuclear weapons. Israel already had them, did not sign the NPT and is under no obligation to do so.Read the post, nobody is saying Iran has the right to have nuclear weapons, but they have the right for nuclear power....But you tell us. which international agreement allows Israel to have nukes?
None of us are saying that Iran is allowed to make nuclear weapons!

Using this kind of so-called "logic" is what might cause those accusations of being an "Islam-Firster". Iran signed a treaty NOT to enrich uranium. They have no "right" to do so anyway.
Show links to the agreements that prevent Iran from enriching zero uranium.
Offical websites. No magazines, blogs, TV or newspapers.

It doesnt matter what other countries fear. Iran have the right to enrich only for energy, science, indistry and medicine according to agreements signed by Iran. Its Irans legal right to do so. People have trouble accepting that international law is too important to ignore. If it gets ignored now it can be ignored again and again in future situations. Then we should throw away and dont care about international altogether.
NeverSure, read my post.

International agreements, you know. The Islam-Firsters are certainly on their high horse today. The biggest state sponsor of terrorism in the world has the "right" to nuclear weapons too.
If we dont follow them every time, without excepetions then they lose their value.
Some people, not you or other poster on TVF of course can shove up those Islamic Firster accusations were the sun dont s....

The moon howlers continue to say Prez Obama is determined to give nuclear weapons to Iran and to remove all sanctions for free besides. They seem to think the president regards nuclear weapons as bean counting and that he's at a distribution center. We're talking really marginal people who want to think this, that need to think it.
They would believe for instance, that if I were to recognize Iran is in the process of building a nuclear energy and power program and that, as with certain other states, it may someday elevate the program to the dimension of weaponry, that would necessarily and absolutely mean I'd be handing over to Iran a nuclear bomb or arsenal with missile delivery systems besides. Worse yet, they would believe that I would be consciously, deliberately, systematically working to destroy the United States.
And then there are the Dark Side Diaries, which in their hunting and gathering have now visited this thread too. While the Diaries bamboozle a few for various reasons, the vast majority of others dismiss them out of hand because the Diaries advocate the absurd, i.e., the ayatollahs would nuke themselves to nuke others first. No government or its people on the planet want a nuclear holocaust. None would deliberately and consciously initiate a nuclear armed attack of any scale.
Even a nuclear armed sovereign state that sponsors terrorism would make a giant and wildly irrational leap to provide a dirty bomb to terrorists because, for one thing, the connections between the state and the terrorists are clear. They are clear not only to the US and to Israel itself, but to other major powers and their intelligence services. The only question then would be what exactly to do and how to do it, not against whom.
A dirty bomb by state sponsored terrorists would constitute a first use and the state knows this. Anyone knows first use almost assures a chain of events to follow sooner or later which is something no one wants, save for the people who cheerfully publish their Gunfight At The OK Corral Dark Diaries.
When a blatant terrorist sponsor like Iran has nukes it can get away with more. Right now we're looking at potential nuclear proliferation in that whole area, as Saudi has been sword rattling about getting The Bomb.
Saudi and the coalition are doing nothing more right now than fighting Iranian puppets in Yemen and they know it. Do you think they will not arm if they see that Iran will?
Iran is a loose cannon that neither Arab states nor any of these 5 nations who are "negotiating" trusts. They all know what Iran is.
Ever heard the cliche "elephant in the room?"
Do you consider the US allied arab countries to moderate good guy?
Do you know that the US assists, is funding and arming "the good guys/terrorists" when it suits the US agenda?
Do you know that a lot of these good guy-terrorists turn on the US?
Hmmmm...
