  1. So as a Thai tax resident, I can go to the UK for a day and remit tax free?
  2. It's about residency, not where you are on any given day
  3. So every year the husband gifts he has to vacate Thailand for 6 months? Married couples who live in Thailand TOGETHER can gift tax free up to 20M baht, surely it is a benefit of being married, or else why have the rule?
  4. What we need is for someone to have done this several times last year, and already filed Thai taxes this year. Maybe Jan 8th is too early, but I'm waiting for a guinea pig 🐷
  5. Calm down, he needed to just give a straight answer without the sillyness
  6. So you've basically got involved here to say I know the answer, but I'm not telling? Waste of skin!
  7. Leach? Trying to get help
  8. Sorry missed that, when was said guide made available, and why does nobody find an answer to all this using said guide. You for instance!
  9. I'm gifting to avoid tax, not evade tax. So gifting is dependant on the type of remittance, I'll therefore avoid tax by leaving Thailand, simple.
  10. Personal pension due in 4 months
  11. It has a detailed guide on gifts, who?
  12. I live in Thailand with my wife but earn income overseas which I remit to my wife as a gift, correct, who is escaping tax, gifting is legal. 20M baht gift IS the deal if you're married isn't it?
  13. The tax liability will determine how many days in Thailand, I am hoping to stay here. I'm sure in the past people have notorized with a lawyer, but these days I want to be 100% sure about all this. Odds are that I'll be going out for a few months, not risking it.
  14. Thanks for replies, have read the pinned guide which is clear as mud. I have 4 months in which to monitor reports of last years remits of a similar nature. I will probably go see a lawyer in a couple of months. TRD needs to detail a procedure for gifts, thanks again guys.
