It both amuses me and irritates me to see so many comments from people who's only experience with tigers is from what they read or a zoo/temple they visited.
As for me, I worked with tigers for 20 years and have friends with many more years experience around wild animals in captivity. And even I won't comment on whats is or is not going on at the temple. I have not been there so no comment.
But, as far as breeding tigers at the temple, a bad idea. They can not be introduced to the Thai jungles. They would not survive for lack of prey and hunting skills learned from tiger mothers.

I'm new to the Chiang Mai area (Hang Dong) and am about to set up a small salt water aquarium.
Are there any people who have salt water tanks in their home? I would like to share interests with them concerning fish keeping. Thanks.

I'm just trying to figure out why I'm even reading this.

A small child was eaten by a python not long ago in Florida.
Their danger is not to be underestimated.
Totally untrue statement. There is no record or report of any snake eating anyone in the usa.

I am wondering if there are any expats or English speaking Thais in Chiang Mai who are interested in sharing experiences buying and caring for tropical fish. I recently moved here (Hang Dong area). Dennis

I recently used a few agencies to help me find a rental house. I was getting desparate, and living in a hotel until I found Century 21. They found us a perfect house in Hang Dong and I signed a lease immediately. It is soi dog free so far.
Segways Silently Roam Zoo

I have been there twice in 2 weeks (We have the goldcard which costs 500 baht for 6 months entrance) and have not seen a single visitor there riding a segway. There is obviously a learning curve to using one of these space age vehicles. You don't just climb on and tell it to go.
