  1. I've been to both David Pack & Vincens (backinmotion).

Both fixed my back and both are OK.

    My opinion :

David pack is the old american school. He check you body for long time and do few manipulations.

Vincens is younger, less check, more manipulation.

Now it depend on what you prefer, personally when I go to the chiropractor I known what is wrong and I just need someone to put back my vertebree on the right spot. So I like Vincens better.

  2. I'm pretty much agree with Tropo.

At the coworking we are also using CAT (fiber optic) and we are happy with it.

I never seen an instalation fee of 40+K THB. As other members said before it cost around 6000THB, in our case they put something like 60m of fiber.

They came to install it the same day I subscribed (I was also surprised).

We have pretty good speed on overseas specialy on the US (west coast), HK not bad too, Europe & Russia it depends but still much better than without the fiber.

I would be curious to compare speed with 3BB or TOT fiber optic.

  3. Polyglot club is a language exchange club, we are meeting every wednesday and it is FREE.

This week / learn how to order food in Thai.

We have Thais, Russians & other European but unfortunatly NO native english speak !

  4. Seven seas condo is curently under construction. First units will be deliver in 2015

There is not a lot of condo on chayapruek but park lane on street wat bun will probably allow you to have the optic fiber.

The connection at Anchor Coworking Space is working good.

At the moment this is CAT business offer but soon a backup connection (probably 3BB) will be instaled with load balancing and independant power supply so internet can work even when power is down.

  5. Is this do-able online?

Yes you can do it online on the polyglot web site. There is forums and some other things but it's not really clear, the interface is not the best.

Love to help out and improve my Thai - and my rusty Russian - but we live quite a ways from Jomtien and it would be fomidable to mak an evening trip every week.

    Good luck.

Unfortunatly the polyglot club is only on wednesday. But this is every wednesday so maybe one day you'll be around and can join us.

Anchorspace what kind of place is that . I live not far away .

    thanks

This week will be the second week, the club is just starting on Pattaya. 20 polygloters are expected tonight. I really hope to see you as last week it was only Russian, French and Thai.

  10. Hello,

I'm seeking information about which internet providers and which offer to choose for a company.

We are located in Pattaya (Jomtien area).

Up to 30 desk (less at the begining so it give me time to make some test).

I'm thinking to take the highest offer at 3BB and the highest at true so I have two providers.

I'm not sure I can have the optic fiber with 3BB as the lady at the office was totaly unfriendly ... anyway I'll try another office.

Is someone know if we get a better quality internet when subscribing to a business offer ?

Because this is 2 or 3 times more expensive than the home offer.

If this is not enough I'll consider a leased line.

    Thank you for reading.

  11. Thank you guys for your advices.

    Here is my personal synthesis.

    • Ask to see the blue book
    • Ask for how many previous owners of the car. The less the better.
    • Pay for car at the transport office ONLY after the staff have accepted all paperwork. (is this possible ?)
    • Check all the alignments between wings and openings such as doors, boot, bonnet etc. They are all correct when leaving the factory. If they are not equispaced and parallel, chances are the car has been crashed.
    • Check the rubbers on the peddles - it give you an idea about the honesty of the people you're dealing with
    • Choose an older model that was popular so you will have enough spare parts and repairman who might know better what to do.
    • take the car to a test-drive, for 10 min or so at least to get a feel how it drives, if the engine has enough power.
    • If they will not let you drive it, don’t buy it.
    • Check if the tires matching (ie 3 different kind on a car = no proper care).
    • Check everything is working, windows, AC, lights, radio, gages, e-lights, mirrors, defrost reverse, all the gears.
    • Check for overspray in the wheel wells or engine compartment, different colors in the door jambs or under scratches, flaking or peeling paint, rust, all are things to beware of.
    • Check to see if the clutch slips, brakes good, steering tight.

Mogandave says to beware of 10yo automatics but I want a manual transmition so this question is solved.

Also I agree with tingtong and I rather look for a toyota rider than an old pajero or a jeep.

    I'm also considering a 10yo 4doors pick up with a carryboy.

Thank you for your advices its help a lot.

  12. The short story :

    - What do you check on a second hand car ?

=> If you don't want to read about my life you can stop here and answer wink.png

    The less short story :

I'm prety lame with car as I have very little interest in it.

I read a lot on this forum about the fact that second hand car are overpriced and it's better to buy a new one ... but I don't have the million bath it cost so no choices.

So now I'm prospecting to buy a second hand car.

While prospecting I noticed that almost all the cars looks great, they are very good to make the outside (and all visible) looks perfect, but what about the engine ?

When I see a car, first I check the price range, if it's ok then I look at the kilometers.

Here is my problem as I really don't know if they cheated the meter or not.

My common sens tell me to avoid 12yo car with only 50/100K km, but no more clue.

Someone tell me to check for oil leaks, but usualy you won't see any at the shop.

Then they turn on the engine ... and it's just mean nothing to me.

I'm asking all this because my budget allow me only a 10 yo car minimun.

My price range is 250/300k I'm looking for a Isuzu (grand) adventure or toyota sport rider, or any 4 door SUV with a caryboy.

I'm also interested in a cheeroke or an old pajero (90's) but it's imposible to find one under 200k km

    Thanks for your advices.
