Probably because they can't read english ?

I'm looking at doing a visa run next month to activate a second tourist visa.I was looking at flying to Phnom Penh or Penang and coming back straight away on the same aircraft.I know it could be a bit risky,but if I'm already checked in for the return flight and have my boarding pass printed,would it be possible.I've never been in either of these airports so I'm not familiar with immigration or the size of the airport.

Ebay is a good source of income for me.I know from using it for many years that maybe 75% of sellers wont ship to Thailand.A lot of them give excuses about their product being copied etc.Try Amazon or one of the ebay alternative sites.

I don't really pay too much attention to other peoples views of Thailand.You make of it what you can,which is what I'm trying to do.

There's a lot of very negative things said on TV,but if we were to agree with all the moaners,then there'd be no expats here anymore.They'd all ship out for pastures green.

Didn't work for me with Chrome or FF.Cleared cache on both.Took me to BBC London,but couldn't get access to the iplayer.

I do make my own tuna salad.Take a can of tuna,mix with mayo,sliced onion,dried italian herbs,chopped tomato and some lettuce.Put the whole lot into a big bowl and mix it up and there ya go.Won't do it everyday mind you.

I don't mind paying a bit extra for some quality ham,but I'm damned if I'm paying 300 or 400 bht for 4 slices of canadian ham again.

Marmite is a no go for me

When I lived back in europe,I'd love to have a sandwich during the day.I'd buy tuna spread,or ham or whatever and have me sandwich with a cup of soup.Over here I can't find anything decent to put on me bread.Sandwich spreads are revolting,ham is crap unless you break the bank and buy some imported stuff.I've reduced myself to eating peanut butter sandwiches,or the odd bit of pate but apart from that,there ain't a whole lot to put on bread in Thailand.Anyone know where I can get some decent sandwich spreads ?

They have electric tuk tuks in the Philippines.I was over there in february and saw them.Only thing was that they drive around at night without any lights on so they can save the batteries.

My other half's english aint too bad,but when she talks english,she talks with a sort of german accent

Her family on the other hand is a different story.I do have some difficulties communicating with them because of them only pronouncing half the word.When I try to teach them how to say a word properly,it just ends up getting my back up and I just give in.They just don't seem to have the linguistic skills to talk english properly.

Recently bought a Samsung Smart TV and got straight onto Netflix through Uno Telly (www.untotelly.com) - free trial and relatively inexpensive monthly fees afterwards.

Not having as much luck with the iplayer as this requires flash to be installed and cant do that onto the TV. Any suggestions welcome!

Not sure why it won't work on your TV.A few months back I was trying all that sort of stuff on my Sony TV and had the iplayer working.In fact,from all the other UK based players,iplayer was the only one that actually worked.

What I've found is that once you're outside BKK the women are a lot better.More natural looking,and more attractive.Seen plenty of stunners working on farms.Simple women with natural beauty.
