When covid started we already know draconian measures are needed to keep it from becoming worse. And why it's still raging on now is because of people like you.
If this affected your financial situation seriously I'd bet you would be the first to shout "open it all up!"....easy to judge when you are either a retiree or government employee or have enough savings.

Or maybe you're already an orphan?
These pandemics happen every 15-30 years, lesser epidemics once in 5-10 years, nasty influenza winter seasons every few years. Are we going to shutdown and disrupt the global economy for years to come from now on every single time? The cure will be much more harmful than the disease.

Plenty of room to breathe here mate. It's a big country with lots of room to travel about. Do I detect a hint of envy?
Digging up and shipping it to China-economy.

Australia has been closed to non essential international travel for 12 months already.
The New Commonwealth of Karenists! ????
Don't forget to breathe. Like few times per minute at least.

Did East Germany Stasi moved to UK or what happened. This is no worse than Hong Kong pandemic 1968. Few even know/remember about that one. Up to 2 million deaths globally over period of two years but masks at buses at best back then. No lockdowns, no quarantines, no travel restrictions.
This is madness. The median age of victims has been 80+ years and 90 percent over 70 years old, 95+ percent over 60 and most with chronic conditions. Basically, the end of life care patients.

He built 452 miles, a lot of it was replacement of rusted fences full of holes from previous administrations. You update the existing ones before building new walls.- 2

6 million divided by 300 passengers per flight =20,000 flights
divided by 180 days for the last six months of the year = 111 flights per day
divided by 18 hours, flights per day = 6 flights per hour.
Is no problem, Mr Fawlty.
A London Airlift, bigger than in Berlin even. NATO will help too!

It seems TAT is in a "Keep up the appearances and just smile"-mode with totally unrealistic positive predictions and projections.

According to Swedish statistics, 70 percent of victims has been over 80 years old, 90 percent over 70 years old and 97 percent over 60 years old. This is a moral panic, the Karenists are in power. I'd bet those vaccines will cause more victims than COVID itself among people younger than 50!
Vaccines always cause casualties due to adverse reactions and what not. It is not sensible at all to vaccine millions of younger people just because less than a thousand or so (most with other diseases already) died per 10 million.

Even if millions of tourist come this year they will experience and report back the new 4th season, the smog season! So retro-70's!

Why not both. Cheap condo in Pattaya for weekend trips and house in Phuket.

Thought about how you going to feed it ? It takes more than you might think.
So 30 bales of hay, 50kg grain per week !
Obviously it would be like owning a few cows and require proper farm facilities.

Thinking of getting a bit bigger pet, how much would an elephant cost? Can you even own one in Thailand? Or is it 51-49 again?

Totally not realistic. If Thailand opened today completely, maybe five million tourists this year and most of them in Q4. Thailand holidays are usually booked many months in advance, not some weekend trip on short notice. Also not so many visitors during the summer months.

Well, Thai drivers are literally flying on roads so private pilot license like requirements are justified! ????

For people under 50 and a need to be in Thailand then the elite visa is one option. But if you like just warm weather and beaches then neighboring countries have much better and cheaper visas options.

If they setup special offshore ownership and taxation laws then it could be doable. If you go to any offshore company formation site, Thailand is not there. Belize, Singapore, Cyprus, Hong Kong are there. But Thai officials probably are too proud to implement those needed changes.

Those places are basically tax paradises and do not require local ownership of 51 percent. Dubai has even free zones with special business laws outside the authority of local laws. Currently it is much easier for Thais to setup businesses in EU or USA than foreigners in Thailand!

A lot of working class people in the West are in dire straits and the economic effects will be felt for years to come. Mass tourism will recover very slowly.

The bars will mushroom after COVID very quickly because it does not cost a lot to start one. Few used chairs, tvs and tables and a bit of booze and off you go, 200 000 baht or even less. But it will look more shanty town. Back to the roots, Pattaya!

A bunch of panicky Karens are running governments almost world wide. The reaction has been much much worse than the pandemic itself. The Hong Kong Flu pandemic of 1968-1969 was similar with 1-2 million casualties worldwide BUT with less than half the population but how many even have heard about it until last year? Did they shutdown economies back then? No, they did not. Even Woodstock happened and nobody cared.

That might actually work, now that American movie industry is busy being so woke and pretend-virtuous the actual movies and TV-series produced suck *ss big time. I can find today even Russian TV-series that are better done with better plot than most American ones.
