  1. Two singers that sing about unity, fun and enjoyment of life. And the university students seem to think that this is the place to lay it down and drop a few rivals?

These are probably my two favorite Thai bands.. OK, I am a little old fashioned.. really quite sad. I would pay good money to go to a concert with these two playing together.

Was watching this on the news and my g/f said "I told you there is always fighting at these concerts" I replied pity I always wanted to see this band. What about if we bought " good tickets".? You will have good fight was the serious reply!!!

  2. Yes that is a different model then the Q serie I think. This phone is also quite low on the specs, so I can imagine why it has this price. Still very decent if you are not a heavy user.

    http://product.i-mob...bile-i-style-q4

This is the i-style Q4 from the imobile website. So i take it there is an i-style Q4 and an i-style 4???... hmmm... all a bit confusing...

I am also very confused over these range of phones and asked for help on another thread. Someone on there pointed out the mobile expo in early Feb so I am going to have a look there.
  3. I just bought i mobile q4 my ais sim works fine

There are 2 versions of the Q style phones.

An 850/2100 3G and 900/2100 3G!. The box is labeled on the outside front.

And Skype works fine on the Q4 and Q6

As for an I-mobile phone that will work on ALL 3G networks in Thailand that's the IQ1.

Be aware that the Mobile Expo is on beginning of February and there MAY be deals and new phones to be had.

Gf's sister has Q2 duo its nice enough but screen colour is 237k not 16m. But OK for a cheap phone on ICS.

    sent from my Q6

Is the Mobile Expo at the QSNCC 7-10 Feb?

Think I may wait for that.

    Thanks for the help.

  4. Hospital provides my eye drops in large screw top plastic container and has block of ice in plastic bag inside along with medication in another plastic bag. Seems to last quite a long time but expect temp is not that critical if using within the day (but would check internet or doctor for details). Normally such medications are for a month use so do not want higher temps for extended periods.

I should have asked at the hospital (Rutnin) about this but had been there waiting for two hours to see doc and then had to wait another two hours whilst they made the serum up so it was late and for the quickest way home just managed to catch the last boat. They put the serum into 21 small bottles (one a day) and then packed ice around it which was ok until I got home. I think I may give them a call or visit to see what they suggest.

    Many Thanks

    WW

  5. Have been prescribed medicine that has to be kept refrigerated at 2-8c. No problem at home but have to administer every hour. The problem being when I want to go out for the day. Anyone have any ideas how I can carry this round with me maintaining a decent temperature? The medicine (eye-drops) is in small eyedropper bottles about 25cl.

    Many Thanks

    WW

  6. Am looking to buy a new phone and like the look of the i mobile range. Went to the local mall but the shop was closed for refurbishment so had a look in Big C. They had two models on display (iq2 and i2duo) was interested but the sales girl told me I could not use my ais sim with these phones so decided to do a bit more research.

Well I can find nothing that suggests imobile phones are not compatible with ais, so question is can i use my ais sim card in an imobile phone?

Also which is the later or better model as the price all seems roughly the same and so do the specs, but I am far from an expert on this.

Any help/comments would be much appreciated

    Thanks WW

Sorry should have put apart from phone calls main use is for video calling on skype

  7. I bank with HSBC and use the secure key for online banking just the same as the UK. You do not have to do anything different. If it breaks you will have to get a replacement sent from UK. You can use telephone banking in the meantime. When I first came here I went to the branch in Rama IV to move my A/C to there but charges seemed high and they wanted proof of ID i.e passport, debit card and copies of utilities bills. I explained that I was renting and the bills were not in my name. Oh no sir, bills with your UK address on!! <deleted> who carries those with them!!! So I just run my a/c now the same as in the UK , online or telephone.

Also had a Nationwide card but it is no longer free to use outside Europe

  8. Ask. Why would you want to sit in a car for an hour with a guy who has to return his car, doesn't want to go that way or simply doesn't like you. Not worth it. It's only really around sukhumvit or if you ask a ridiculous cross town or through rush hour destination they won't want to go.

Agree here.... I always ask, sometimes its a bit frustrating especially after you get 4 or 5 no's. But I understand for the most part the refusals. I live in Bang Kapi on Ramkhamhaeng and its always a pain getting back home from Suk on a weekend evening; usually just tell them 150thb and they are good with it (normal fare is about 100thb anyway.

I remember a few months back someone posted that when its raining and the driver refuses the fare, they leave the door open. LOL

I always get in and then say where I want to go, just force of habit from UK. My g/f tells me off about this and says you should always ask first.

We live in between Bang Kapi and Minburi and we also have problems getting back from Sukhumvit, so we take the MRT a couple of stops to Rama 9 and then flag a taxi down to take us the rest of the way, no problems.
