When we arrive on Koh Tao is it dificult to find a place to stay ( we are no divers)

    Thanks

  5. Hallo SEAtramp

    Thanks for the quick response.

We like to stay for about one week one the island.

"Problem" is , we can't sit still one the beach al day so we like to go around .

We don’t have special wishes , we just want to get to now the island and find some nice places.

How can we get to the places we can not reach one a motorbike ?

Do you now some nice places to visit on the island , we like to avoid the area of the full moon party’s , we like more to see some natural places like waterfalls , mountains ,deserted beaches , places were not to many people are .

If you have any suggestions about a place to stay , the one thing we like is a swimming pool and good food at low price :o .

    Thanks

    Harry, Adrienne.

  8. Hallo

We want to go to Koh Samui but we want to stop over in Ban Krut for a few days.

What is the best way to get there ?

    Bus or train ?

Are there direct busses to Ban Krut from the southern bus station and how to we get to the bus station from the Mandarin Hotel , we now where the train station is but I believe there are only night trains to the south and they do not stop in every station ,we also like to travel during daytime so we can see a bit from the country.

Are there anywhere timetables available , we just stay one night in Bangkok so we do not want to spend to much time by searching for information about timetables in Bangkok .

    Thanks

    Adrienne and Harry.

Ps : i believe it is better to arrive by daylight to find a place to stay ?

  10. Hallo

When we arrive on the island (nathon?) how do you get for instance to Bo Phut ?

Are there taxi's or other transportation , do they use standard prices to get you to one place our is it bargaining ?

When we arrive in Bo Phut or any other place on the island is it safe to leave your baggage in a bar or restaurant (just clothing and snorkel gear) and then rent a moped to search for a place to stay ?

    Thanks

  11. Hallo Booo

It looks like a nice area to stay, we already read about secret garden and is live music on sundays, looks nice.

We dont understeand te part about the ladybar nightlife ,what do you mean by that ?

Let me explain something : we are both 47 , we have 2 sons one 24 en One 21 so we are past nightlife and not looking for a thai partner but we both like thai people because they are so friendly.

We are just back from december , we visit Koh Lanta , Krabi and Kao Lak .

We where lucky to make it back , friends of sweden didn't.

So in fact we are looking for a place not to crowded but still on walking distance for breakfast and diner.

  12. Hallo Malice

We where thinking to go to the Lamai Wanta.(Have read some comments)

Can you ask your customer what is happening there during night or evening please because we are most of the time out during daytime to explore the island and like to sit down on the terrace of our bungalow during the evening just enjoy some glass of wine without to much noise from disco's.

En what about daytime , are there many people on the beach or can you still get a quit spot ?

    Thanks in advance

    Adrienne and Harry

  13. Hallo

We are going end of may begin june for about 7 days to Samui and we have a few questions and wishes .

We are both 47 , so we do not need a disco anymore , we like to have a chat with other people by a beer and still understand what the other is saying , unless we are to drunk of course .

    1) We like a quit part but still on walking distance to some small restaurants and a shop just to buy some water or a bottle of wine.

    2) Is there during the above period places to avoid , to much wind or no good sea ?

    3) We are thinking to spend around a 1000 BTH for a bungalow .

    4) So if you have any recommendation about a bungalow or a beach please let us now .

    Thanks

    Adrienne and Harry
