  1. The OP doesn't really know which way to turn.

Moving over to Pattaya until retirement age ? Then what ?

Been to central Pattaya many times, yet doesn't know how the land lies ?

If the OP buys a top-end condo, no need for education visa.

How can one live learning a language, who is obviously financially loaded, on that basis ?

How can anyone know what they're going to be doing in 4-5 years ?

How can anyone be able to stop working at 33, unless they come into an enormous amount of money ? and how would one be able to predict that 4-5 years ahead ?

The OP wants somewhere nice and peaceful, yet wants to be near Central. Isn't that a contradiction ?

Personally, I would recommend targeting Monte Carlo, reason being, it would suit a billionaires lifestyle far more than Pattaya.

  2. Tonight I went to pick a friend up from Suvarnabhuma Airport.

Was unable to find the car park.

Drove around and around in circles for 1/2 hour.

Asked many officials, who were absolutely clueless as where I should go.

    Sign-posting appalling.

Eventually I found the entrance to a car park.

My question is was I being brainless, or is this a common problem ?

  3. How much cheesy.gif

How long is a piece of string ?

Have maybe 30 pistols and 50 machine guns.

Machine guns start around 5000 baht + many optional add-on accessories.

  4. Went today to buy a gun + accessories at ChonBuri Airsoft 086-3699-170

Very large selection all on display.

    Very good service.

    Very good prices.

    Highly recommended.

  5. Beware of mail-order companies, although I have no experience of the above company.

I purchased a machine gun through a mail-order company which had a major fault without me even using it. Posted the gun back to them and their response was simply "we can do nothing, you have abused the gun".

So just beware. I guess a shop will have some kind of acceptance of faulty guns.

  6. PM to follow up on Pattaya ferry accident during Chonburi visit

CHONBURI, 5 November 2013 (NNT) – Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra will visit Chonburi province today (November 5) to follow up on the case of the sunk ferry in Pattaya that has claimed the lives of 6 tourists.

A ship operated by the Koh Lan Travel company sank off the coast of Pattaya on Sunday evening, after it departed from Koh Lan with around 200 passengers. At least 16 passengers suffered injuries.

Saman Khwanmueang, the ferry's captain, asserted that the boat did not run into reefs and was not overloaded. The man said he believed the bottom of the vessel was damaged by violent waves.

Marine Department Director-General Sorasak Saensombat said ships operated by Koh Lan Travel are being grounded pending re-inspection of their condition. Permits for the company's remaining 6 vessels will be cancelled if the ships fail to pass the inspection.

What !! An inspection ? Didn't think "inspections" happened. Thought it was all linked with "saving face". All we'll get now is "lip-service" to undent Pattayas' image.

And the "wave-damage" under the boat ? That comment surely backs up the captain was high on drugs. They seem to dig a bigger hole for themselves.
